how to transfer

How to make chalk paste silk screen stencil?

1. Peel your silkcreen transfer from its backer;

2. Press and smooth the mesh stencil onto your desired surface;

3. Then use a mini squeegee to quickly spread a thin chalk paste or chalk ink over chosen design;

4. Remove the screen transfer from project;

5. Wash the transfer in water immediately and allow to dry sticky side up before returning to backer.

These stencils “peel” , so I am unable to use my enamels on them…. Unable to use a second time!! Don’t buy these!!!

I love the stencil. It looks very nice when painted. I did use it about four times before it started to weaken. However, I did wash in warm water once or twice. Since that, I now wash silkscreen stencils gently in cold water and lay flat on a paper towel or other towel to throughly dry. Quality of all silkscreen stencils seem to be similar and not a lot of difference from each other in the ones that I have purchased. I love the silkscreen because there is no bleed through or smears that can get from the plastic stencils. I will purchase again from this seller as they have a great selection of stencils.
