This kit gives you a great variety of options for doing wood carving. There's a couple shortcomings though. For my use, these got the job done & survived the job. I've used a few of them multiple times and they're holding up.Here's my observations while working with these:1) The tool surfaces are small, and the rasp teeth are sort of narrow. What happens, is they don't bite a great deal of wood. It's both good and bad. If you're going for a deeper cut, it takes more effort to do your work. The plus side, you have more precision control.2) Lots of shape options = you will have the right tool for the job.3) Double sided. At first glance, not a big deal. Wear gloves. These are sharp and you need to hold them! It'll poke into your hand. A good pair of workgloves is enough to resolve this.4) The edges of the tool are a little sharp. Again, wear workgloves.5) Carry container is nice, but .. I wish it were just a little more durable.Overall a nice value set of precision rasps at a good cheap price. Great if you need these infrequently or to do only 1 job. If you're using these often, I'd really suggest to get a different set that has handles & is more suited for comfortable use.

Good price but they are pretty crude for such fine shapes. They need more need more teeth to better ride the surface. Instead one tooth bites down, tears out and slips to the next tooth, then repeats. Maybe intentionally try dulling them a bit first.

A set of rasps of varying sizes and shapes, useful for hard to get at crevices in wood carving. Comes ins in very flimsy carrying case that will likely deteriorate with exposure.

The verendor was great.. Got the product fast and without problems. The rasp themselves, however, were not what I expected. A wood rasp is suppose to be like rough sand paper and "rasp" or scrap the wood. The teeth on these rasps are so far apart that they do not scrape the wook, they just scratch grooves onto the surface,

Been using them for about a month now seems to be good on the soapstone I got them for only down side to them I can see is they did not come with vary sharp points but other then that good files for sure
