This scope does a good job. Magnification is excelent. It even comes with a calibration slide, nice. Assembly was easy once I got everything sorted out. The build quality is a good one with very minor stability issues at high magnification. It helps to have the included remote at the higher magnifications, helps elemenate some of the stability issues. Batter life is perty generous. One charge can last me up to a month depending on how much use it gets. When off it can last even longer. This is an easy, uncomplicated, good addition for anyone that needs an entry level scope.

Excellent. This is the first microscope that I’ve ever used. But it works great.

This is a handy device to take pictures of the details of coins, rings, diamonds and other small items. I tried macro lenses of my professional cameras and the results are definitely better with this microscope despite the relatively low quality of the pictures (1080 x 1920 - in general under 1MB per pic). The big screen helps in focusing on the item. The 2 included lights are a little tough to maneuver because the cylinders supporting them are hard to be placed in certain positions. The internal battery does not last long but the microscope works as soon as it's plugged in.

I use it to examine knife and scissors edges for the most part. Easy to use and very portable.

It's a very expensive toy. The quality is not that great. It works but that camera is not great. It's not HD. It's blurry. It feels a bit cheap but if you have a kid, you could just give this to them and play with it and explore.

CD:The "amcap" program on the CD doesn't install anything, it just runs the program. If you want to have it on your PC, copy it to a new folder and make a shortcut for your desktop. On the microscope:To switch between Photo, Video, and View modes, long push the "Menu" button to cycle through the choices.A video camera, a camera, and a playback triangle appear in the upper left.To take a photo or video, push the OK button. It will start and stop a video, or save a photo to the Micro-SD card.To use the PC:Click to USB settings:When USB is on "Disk Drive" or "PC-Cam," all functions stop on scope.1) Disk Drive:Connect the USB-C data cable (included)The Micro SD-Card now appears as a USB Drive (X:) with a DCIM folder on the PC, giving access to the files saved to the SD-Card.2) Set USB to "PC Cam" and connect USB-C data cable (included)Run "amcap v3.0.9.exe" on the CDUnder "Devices" select "General - UVC"Options/Preview to view what the microscope camera sees on the PC screen. You can then take a photo or capture a video in the PC program.3) To get back to the microscope controls, unplug the USB-C cable. If you want to power the microscope from the PC, but not have it switch to PC-Cam or Disk Drive mode, change the USB setting to "Charging mode."It has a built-in battery but I don't know how long it lasts before recharging. It recharges with a USB-C cable. It comes with a 32GB Micro-SD card which is the maximum size it can read (MicroSD is called "TF" in China. They're the same thing.).This is a bit easier to use than a 10x lupe as the lighting is taken care of for you. You can get a bit of size change by raising and lowering the lens and camera, but not much - closer is larger and up is smaller. The entire coin won't show up on the screen. There's a light dimmer dial on the right side of the screen that helps with clarity if you've got some reflection or contrast problems. If you know where that mint mark is, this will help find and read it, or differentiate an "S" from a "D" on a worn coin. The strength of this item is its ability to take a picture to document the coin, but a lupe is easier to use just to examine a coin or stamp.Negatives: Can't see entire coin. Reflections can cause exposure problems. Always have to refocus.Main positive: Good for detail photos.4 stars - not as useful as I had hoped.

I’m floored at how well this works. The screen is sharp, has good color, and requires very little setup outside of putting it together. One feature that wasn’t advertised is that it has a rechargeable battery as well so you don’t even need it plugged in all the time. I haven’t used the PC connection software yet, and probably won’t as the screen is entirely sufficient. The attached remote has quick capture buttons for the camera and you can change the resolution for the photos being saved to the included micro SD card.If you even remotely have an interest in anything hobby, collecting, electronics, soldering, or magnify anything at all, get this. It’s a great deal for the price.
