We have this controlling two heaters in our green house. The controller sits on the table next to my couch so I can easily see what the temp is in there. Great tool. Easy to set up, temperature control is a snap.

This device works great and was easy to set up. One very good thing about it is it doesn't need a phone app to access it.

Great for my outside cat’s heating pad inside his cat house. Able to set the on/off to keep him warm at night and shut off when it warms up during the day.

I just got this and will follow up if necessary. All is explained if you actually bother to read the manual. This does not come with batteries! That's a first for any battery operated device I have bought. I put in a couple NiMH batteries and it worked fine.Mine is dead accurate. I placed a thermometer next to it and it read 66.6° when the thermometer, which only reads in whole degrees, said 67°.As others have stated, the screen seems to be upside down. OTOH, if you set it on a desk it does display properly. Be that as it may, the orientation sucks. You should be able to read it head on. If you hang the remote on a wall, hang it high.Since I can return it within 30 days I will continue to test it. Most electronic devices that make it thru the first 30 days are usually ok. I'll follow up if it fails.Update 2/1/24: It occurred to me the temperature difference problem people have mentioned could be traced to the temperature probe. I have temperature probes on my heat pumps to read outside temperatures and they differ by about 3°.Update 10/8/24: I replaced my batteries and they died in 8 days! I'm trying new batteries but I'm going away for two weeks. We'll see if they last. The company says batteries should be good for six months and reviews indicate long life but I'm not getting it. I use NiMH rechargeable batteries and I may need Alkaline batteries. I'm going away for 2.5 months in November so I'll have to get some Alkalines to see how they stand up.Update 10/26/24: Fresh batteries lasted less than three weeks. I'm replacing this unit with one that is NOT remote controlled and doesn't need batteries.

Works as advertised and accurate!I dock a stare on temp control because unit may interchange from Fahrenheit to Celsius however the thermostat is controlled is Celsius. For example, if I set the temperature at 70.0F it set the thermostat is Celsius thus a/c turns on at 69.8F or 21.0C. Having that said, if you are using Celsius that wouldn't be a problem.I dock user interface as when the device is set at curtain temperatures in Fahrenheit it will automatically change the temp, this problem collates with temperature control. In addition, if the unit is set to 65.0 F it will set your thermostat in Celsius, so when you switch to Celsius and back to Fahrenheit it will display 64F, instead of 65F as the unit was set. Not to finicky. In conclusion, well functioning device, however I would either recommend the device be able to set temp by decimal or unit being able to program through both °F and °C instead of just programming thermostat in °C and just displaying °F over °C.

Should consider a WIFI, app enabled control for remote monitoring

Worked pretty well; I would like it better if it had about 2 or 3 more sensors with enough cable that could allow sensors to be placed in various places throughout the small greenhouse, as some of my plants still suffered in a recent cold snap, even though I added an auxiliary heater on another power circuit. But with an adequate capacity of controlled heating supply, it kept the reading at or above my low setting of 34 degrees F. The instructions were somewhat hard to understand; I learned the most by experimentation. Also, I'm not sure if the receiver will produce a sound alarm if the battery gets too low since I haven't used it long enough for that to happen. The receiver needs that feature to protect against the life/death situation if this is used to keep plants above freezing. The user might not notice when the little battery icon lights up. By the time the user sees it, it could be too late!In case you're thinking some of my plants died because the sensor was located incorrectly, not so; it was located ~6" above floor level in the greenhouse, behind the fan-driven heater where the air would be the coolest.

I have not been using this long but it works perfectly. My wife makes wine and in the winter we store it in glass demijohns in an outdoor shed, as it would be too hot to leave in our cabin with the woodstoves during winter. After all that work, we would hate to lose all that wine (maybe 50 gallons) if the glass fractured from freezing. So we set them under a table with a blanket over it and use this thermostat to turn on a set of light bulbs for gentle heat, under the table and blanket. This uses very little power and seems to keep the temperature pretty constant throughout the cold days and even colder nights. As well as turning the power on and off this thing also gives us an alarm if the temperature should ever get close to freezing, so we can move the wine in an emergency. A really useful tool for us. Oh, and we have the one with the probe.
