I love keeping busy with cross stitch pieces and this one is a good one. Beware that it is on 11 count Aida and not the usual 14 count but it makes a stunning Christmas piece. All threads are included and the directions are easy to read. There are blends to make by combining thread colors that really make the design pop.

I didn’t realize how boring it would be to work on large sections of almost indistinguishable colors, like in the beard and tree. Also, I ran short on three colors (never had that happen before) and had to raid previous pattern leftovers. The yarn quality seemed substandard. The threads separated and frayed more easily. I’m glad it’s done and it turned out well, but there are literally hundreds of little mistakes due to pattern complexity and symbols that looked too similar.

This is the second one that I have purchased. Absolutely love this kit. Made it last year for dirty Santa gift and everyone was fighting for it. Making it again for a cousin that was heartbroken that she didn’t get the first on.

Santas Secret is a fantastic product, the detail is superb. The most difficult part were the glasses .So impressed with Dimensions I have since bought some more , currently doing Santas Journey ( this one is quite challenging but thoroughly enjoyable ) .The only TINY negative was worrying I would run out of some cottons , they were a bit just , as it happened not a problem .Thank you Dimensions .

As other people have stated, Dimensions kits are wonderful. They provide more than enough thread to finish the project, clear instructions and the finished products are always lovely. This kit is not a difficult design at all, but it was a little more interesting than the last Dimensions kit I completed because it used half stitches and combinations of colors. I would recommend it for someone who has done at least one project before. The thread does come glued onto a cardboard sorter, but I always wind the thread around bobbins anyways, so that wasn't that big of a deal for me as it is for other people.My two complaints about this product is that the graph only used three colors for the different symbols, and sometimes it was hard on the eyes. the other kit that I used from Dimensions had 4 colors and similar colors were not used in symbols that were going to be mostly together. On the back stitching, it is sometimes difficult to determine if the lines are crossing through the corners or not, so it is hard to tell if you should do one long stitch or break it up into several small ones. In the case of this kit, I found that you were supposed to do more small stitches (especially on the chairs). But overall, these two points did not deter me from working the project, and I have already purchased a Dimensions kit for my next project.
