Your cart is empty.This disc cutter will cut circles out of sheet metal. It will reliably cut the same sizes every time. It comes with 10 punches and a round steel disc cutting block. The block has a lever-style separating device, so it will hold sheet metal more securely while you cut it. The block also has the sizes in inches engraved on it. This disc cutter will cut up to 20 gauge metal, and can be used on a rubber mat or block to ease the cutting process and protect your work surface. To use it, remove all punches from the block, and select the size punch you would like. Place your sheet metal in the slot, adjust the lever to fit your metal, and place your punch, sharp side against the metal, in the correct slot. Strike the beveled side of the punch with a heavy mallet until it pierces through the sheet metal. Be careful of your fingers and other items on your work surface. The punches would not go through the hole. Isn’t that the point? I’m a jeweler of 13 years and needed a cutter next day- that’s the only reason why I purchased this. Unusable- waste of time and money.

This tool was working fairly well until I got to the 1" size punch. Unfortunately, the 1" size punch consistently fails to make a clean cut due to poor alignment/sizing and we will have to return this item.

I just received this and was disappointed that there were no instructions. I tried to find a you tube video on this specific disc cutter, but had no luck. There is a nut/bolt attached to the middle, and I'm not sure if I should remove this or just loosen it. There is also a handle/crank thingy which I'm not sure what to do with. If there is anyone out there with answers to these stupid questions, I would be very grateful. thanks!

I really like this disc cutter. I had purchased a smaller square one which did not hold the metal secure and was impossible to punch holes with one blow (on 20 gauge, 22 gauge, and 24 gauge metal). This one does hold the metal securely and I have used it on brass, copper, and nickle silver (same gauges as above). So I don't get those annoying "moon" lines when striking multiple times. They only thing I wished it did have was instructions on use and care but I was able to find out what I needed to know from on-line videos. Bottom line: VERY glad I purchased this, finally!
