We bought 2 monitors so the wife could work from home on occasion. They work as expected so no complaints.

I wanted to expand to a third monitor on my PC system but only had a Displayport output left on my GeForce 1060 video card and no Displayport input on the older 24" Samsung monitor (2494LW) I wanted to include. This DP to VGA adapter cord turned out to be a perfect and relatively inexpensive solution to the problem. Windows 10 immediately recognized everything and the display quality is right on the money. Couldn't be happier. If you have an older monitor without HDMI that you want to put to use, this adapter cord may be a good option.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to whether monitors and computers use DisplayPort, HDMI or VGA connections (although, it seems to me, that VGA is becomming far less common). If you want to stand any chance of connecting older (or even recent vintage) monitors to newer computers (or vice-versa), you need these adapters. They are well made, and a bargain at $16 of two (I paid more for a single at one of the bix box retailers), but note that they don't support 4k video. Would gladly purchase them again.

Have several high tech gadgets, each with different HDMI output connectors. One master cable now adapts to each.

These work great for a newer pc to older LCD 1080p screens at a client's office. Been working flawlessly now for weeks.
