Review of Metal Canvas Floater Frame for 18x24 Canvas Paintings, 0.75-0.9" Deep, Purple GoldThis is a high quality frame. I’ve set mine up with the hanger fittings on the sides to accommodate a hang wire, since I will be using it for art shows, which require hang wires. A nice touch added by the manufacturer is the inclusion of gloves for handling the frame. These are not to protect the frame finish, they are to protect your hands. I recommend that unless you are experienced with this type of frame, you open the box and put on the gloves even before unwrapping the frame pieces. The ends of these type frames are extremely sharp and can cut you even while just removing the packaging, which happened to me with another of these type frames a few years back. So really, put on the gloves then start to unwrap the plastic packaging. Nice frame and thoughtful addition of the gloves.

Aluminum frame like all others except that the metal is formed with a shelf for the artwork to mount slightly inside of the outer frame to give it that "floating" look - a small space between the work and the inside frame edge so the work looks like it isn't attached..Nice try but not perfect. The space between the inside edge of the outer frame and the outside edge of the artwork is just a bit too large. You can see the edge of the "shelf" the artwork sits on... you shouldn't be able to see that. It kind of spoils the illusion of floating.

I don’t have a finished painting ready for this frame but did assemble it see how it looks. Getting perfect corners took a bit of work but overall it’s not bad for this size. I really like the color, it feels like a more modern alternative to rose gold. It is a metal frame, much nicer than any plastic frame I’ve tried so far. There are parts that are included, I’m not sure what they’re for, there’s no mention of how to use them in the included instructions. Maybe to protect the corners?

Perfectly good floating frame for use with wrapped canvas. This one measures 18” x 24” with a 0.5” depth. It comes with all the necessary parts and extras for hanging. Also comes with two disposable soft cotton gloves to avoid fingerprints. I suppose the gloves could also be to protect your hands because the frame has some significantly sharp edges that will cut you if not careful. Upon full assembly with the joints tightened as much as possible I still have noticeable gaps in 3 of the 4 corners. Not enough for me to not use, but worth noting this frame would not be “gallery quality” for that reason.

This HUACANVAS metal floater frame for 20"x30" canvases is a beautiful addition to my art collection. Despite the listing confusion (it's labeled as "Purple Gold" but is rose gold), I'm delighted with the actual color. The rose gold finish has a sophisticated, contemporary look that complements my artwork perfectly. Assembly was straightforward, with all necessary hardware included and clear instructions. The frame accommodates canvases about an 3/4 in deep, providing that professional "floating" effect where the canvas hovers within the frame. I'm currently working on a painting specifically for this frame, and I'm excited to see the result. Excellent quality construction and a stylish choice for displaying canvas prints or original paintings in home decor.

This frame worked out very well, and I ended up liking the purple-gold tone more than anticipated, but I have a few notes after installing. First, at least for the larger sizes, you’ll need to install the each corner bracket (2 screws) + a backing corner (1 hole), unlike what is shown in the assembly video. Second, note that there are several SHARP edges with this frame kit. It includes 2 stretchy gloves - wear them! Third, the frame kit itself has tightly mitered corners, but I had some difficulty keeping the corners tight when going to tighten the corner brace screws. I only managed to get a perfectly closed corner once, and am planning to rig up some kind of brace to see if I can get the corners held tighter together so there aren’t any sharp edges exposed. Last, I did have some finish irregularities on one side on my frame kit, but they’re very difficult to see once the art is hanging.For the price point and canvas size (20” square) this was a great buy, even with all the notes above. Final note - this is listed for canvas depths 0.7-09” deep. Mine is 0.75” deep, but with the folded corners a the back, my canvas is nearly flush with the front of the frame. I would double check your canvas stretcher frame depth before purchasing, and maybe avoid if you are over 0.8” deep. I think anything in the 0.5”-0.75” canvas depth range is a better size, personally.
