I'm a cable tv technician, I use this daily for fishing cable lines through tree branches. It works great, and I'm not gentle on it at all. Recommend.

It'd be a great boat hook if the buckles held when extended but they don't. None of them. I'm returning this product.

This review is for the carbon fiber telescoping boat hook, at a price of $75.99.I obtained this to use as a general purpose hook tool for my workshop. This telescoping boat hook is made from real carbon fiber and is amazingly lightweight and strong. The clamps are easy to use and adjust, and the acme-threaded tip of the pole is very well machined and high quality. The boat hook attachment appears to be nice and strong and the included nylon/neoprene cover makes a very nice addition to this tool.I did have to slightly adjust the clamps using the supplied hex wrench, but it only required about 1/4-1/2 turn of tightening of the fastener on the back side of each blue clamp to fine tune the clamping strength. The full length of the pole including the boat hook attachment was 47.25" collapsed, and 149.5" fully extended.Overall, I am very pleased with this and it will make a great addition to my workshop.

This boat pole is fantastic! It does require some adjusting out of the box, open each latch and tighten with the included allen wrench until there is a little friction moving the section in and out. Now when you close the latch the pole is rock solid and can be used for pushing or retrieving. The hook is easily threaded on but as a bonus you can use this pole with other screw on attachments like a brush head or a paint roller. This pole is very rigid, strong, and lightweight, much more so than traditional extension poles. It also includes a protective storage bag but I won’t be using that, this pole will be in constant use for a lot of things. I have solar panels on my house and this will make cleaning them so much easier due to the light weight and rigidity.

My first one came in damaged packaging, and the hook was missing. I contacted the seller and they immediately shipped a replacement. So that was great.This is light weight and extendable I have used on the boat, with my camper, and also at home with our pool to get floats, and other items out of reach.I have also swapped the hook for a window brush to help clean off the RV solar panels. It has been very versatile for me and love how lightweight.It comes with an Allen wrench I did have to use to tighten the friction clips so it would stay in the position I wanted, but only the once so far.

This thing came out of the box in like a little neoprene sheath with the hook loose inside the box. Easy enough, screw the hook on top, open the little clasps, extend the sections like a tripod and done. Well, no actually. It would not stay extended and I fiddled around thinking it would not be useable or you could only use it fully extended.I looked down and saw an Allen key that had also come from the box. There are two collars at every section. One (the lower) is fixed in place and factory tight. Do nothing to that one. The other (upper) was an easy to see and find blue throw lever. That one is adjustable with the key. So, open the latch, give it half turn, close the latch and test the push / pull. Once that step was done I realized I now had a very light, very compact, and very useful tool. You can use it closed or individually open sections to make it as long as you want.

Every Christmas, we string lights on a 15-foot pine tree in the yard. This pole is turning out to be a godsend, letting me hang and adjust the lights from the ground. It's very light, sturdy, non-conductive, and the boat-hook attachment is perfect for pushing and pulling the light strings over and around branches. I'm already thinking of other uses: the standard threaded end will accommodate all kinds of attachments.
