All of our neighbours had this brand, so that is why we bought it for our dock in the ocean. Excellent ladder. BUT very important! One of our neighbours leaves it in the down position in the water all the time, and theirs is covered in thick green slime which is totally disgusting and now they don’t use their dock anymore. (Mind you they are old so they probably don’t care anymore. However, when their grandchildren come to visit, they are all repulsed and can’t use it.)The rest of us, flip it up and out of the water AS SOON AS YOU ARE DONE USING IT (so that means at the end of each swim, NOT even at the end of the DAY) and ours still look TOTALLY brand new with no algae growth whatsoever. (3 years later for us so far and it still looks exactly the same.)Also, it is surprisingly strong, I didn’t think plastic would be able to support our 250 lb. friend, but it absolutely did. (However, we put extra bolts into the dock to further secure it.)

We had to put in a different ladder this year and decided to try this one. We really are pleased with how great it works with our pool. The kids love it and we like it because we built it onto our deck so it doesn't even touch the bottom of our pool.To us this is a win win situation. It is very sturdy and is made to last a long time.

I absolutely love this deck ladder. It is great for my above ground pool because it doesn't touch the liner no matter who stands on it. I made a base to mount it on and then mounted the base to the deck so I can move it easily if needed. The enclosed picture shows the deck almost finished. The ladder is great because it can be lifted out of the pool when the pump is running which makes the water spin quite fast. This causes anything in the pool to collect in the middle which is easily scooped out. My old pool stairway allowed a place for algae to grow and was constantly a problem. It also used up a lot of space in the pool. Don't have any problem at all with this ladder. Highly recommend it. I would buy it again if I needed another one.

The reviews did not disappoint. This was/is a great add to our Lakehouse. Very safe, easy to install, looks great and wide footings feel great on the feet.

Got this ladder for a dock that sits on a lake. The first ladder we had was difficult to use and wasn’t long enough. This ladder is long and easy to access. The high handles are easy to grab and the ladder feels sturdy. The only drawback, and it’s really not an issue, is that the rungs are slightly narrow but not so much that it will be a problem.

We bought one of these. Two years ago and a second for another dock this year. Broad foot rests and deep reach of steps make the climb out of the lake easy. The grade of the steps allows for “walk” into water

Easy install with 8 stainless steel lag bolts (3/8"x3.5") and flat washers. Yes, difficult to raise the ladder after use. Recommend tying a small rope around the top step which you can snare with a boat hook. No barnacles at least! Polyethylene - non-toxic. (Polyethylene is typically used for plastic bags, food/drink containers, and medical applications like knee joints.) 500 pound capacity, very good.

The ladder works great on our dock. It remains to be seen how it will survive summer heat and winter cold. I deducted one star because for the price you pay, they really should include the lag bolts and washers needed to secure it to the dock, but you have to buy those yourself. Other than that it was easy to install.

Great ladder for the cottage. As others have mentioned, it came with missing hardware/bolt. I had to improvise. Besides that, it's sturdy and easy to get in and out of the water.

This was an easy choice. Need a rustproof lightweight ladder for salt water. Fair price. Need lag bolts and small line for retrieving when down. Not included.

Product was well reviewed, and looked sturdy and funtional, but I was concerned about a "plastic ladder." It took me a while to buy it but I wasn't finding anything that wasn't what we had that we didn't like. Was I surprised. We have many seniors using the ladder. The way the ladeder comes out from the dock, the number of hand holds, and the comfortable (on the foot) ladder rungs are a big hit. It is sturdy and I have no concern of the "plastic" not holding up.

I love the ladder! It's easy to use, but so far, everyone says there should be a step or two more to make it easier to get out of the lake on my stationary dock - the water level is about full pool and the top of the dock is about 16" above the water level. The plastic is good quality - there are many kids who have gone up and down and adults weighing 300 pounds without any give in the material. It didn't come with any hardware to install - so after a trip to the hardware store for lag bolts, we were all set. I'm sure black plastic would burn your feet, but it would've matched my color scheme better...maybe an idea for the future?
