How does a Dog Stake and Cable work?

  • Absolutely! We made Royal Paw Products specifically hold back the largest and strongest dogs. The stakes handle dogs up to 210 lbs while our cables hold up to 300 lbs!

  • Unlike other brands who use lower grade metal, we went 3-steps above and used a Marine Grade Stainless Steel material. It's stronger and will prevent rust and corrosion, even in direct exposure water.

  • We strongly suggest that you use 2 anchors spaced apart if you have 2 dogs. The likelihood of your dogs getting wrapped up and tangled increases significantly when anchored to one stake.

  • If the design of our Dog Stake itself doesn't do it, we also include high-quality and useful accessories to make your experience better. The value you get is fit for a King!

  • The length should depend on the size and activity level of your dog. If you have a large or active dog who likes to run, we suggest a length of 20 feet or more. For smaller dogs or dogs who like to lounge, 20 feet or less is perfect.

I'm rating 5 stars because this was supposed to be heavy duty and it is *HEAVY DUTY*!!! Honestly, this thing is overkill for every dog I have ever met. "The Sandlot" movie plot would have sucked if they had this thing. If you have one of those dogs that is bread for hunting lions, you could restrain both the dog and the lion with this thing... Maybe even a honey badger too.I got it for camping, and I'm questioning if I actually want to lug around the 5 lbs of steel. I also imagine the stake would be really difficult on rocky soil, but I'll update when I actually try that.Everything is pretty high quality. It should be noted that the cable doesn't fit well with the stake in the case. I got it to work, but I had to recoil the cable and not use the cable mate.

Great quality and very strong! Purchased for a large Shepherd/Husky mix and it works great. I would highly recommend Royal Paw.
