I appreciate the ease of installing this hanger. The fact that it wasn't complicated to install makes me give it 5 out of 5 stars immediately. Add on the fact that this hanger is sturdy and has held up for the last several months, with zero issues. I give this hanger my highest recommendation. If you're looking for an easy to install, sturdy hanger, then this is it!

I got this ceiling hook to hang up a tire swing on our back porch. So far, it has worked great. It swivels as intended and holds my weight as an adult, and three kids at a time have been on the tire swinging out of time, and I have not seen any concerns. If you're looking for a similar application for a hammock punching bag or anything similar this will work great.

I pick this up because it had a hook that is releasable when under load. The hanger plate is a nice solid piece of steel, and the included hardware looks fine, but the release hook quickly failed at nowhere close to it’s 900lb rating. I noticed that the spring-loaded release pin didn’t operate smoothly, so I sprayed a little bit of silicone lubricant into it, which helped a bit. I tried with maybe 100-150lbs of load and it released as expected, but as it did it snagged on the nose of the hook before it fully released, and that bent the nose of the hook so it no longer works. I’d be afraid to bend it back as that would likely fatigue the metal and make it even weaker. The description says it is good for up to 900lbs, I wouldn’t trust it for anywhere that much.

We have been building a backyard zipline and needed something strong to attach to a post for our lower end of the line.We have an 8" x 8" wood post cemented into the ground for the lower endpoint. This assembly is perfect for our use. It will be anchored into the post with lag bolts. The zipline will attach to the swivel. We want to take down the zipline in the winter so the design of the swivel allows for easy removal. The locking mechanism will hold the line without any issues.

I'm finally getting around to hanging a heavy bag in the garage. I had another bag hanging bracket from a previous address where I had a bag mounted, but I noticed that this bracket had holes for four screws instead of two. As I was mounting a much heavier bag this time, I felt I would be more confident and comfortable with four screws. The bracket feels very solid and well-built. I especially like the quick-release hangar. Pull the pin, and the hook drops down. Retract the pin, swing the hook back into place, and move the pin back in; you're good to go. It comes with everything you need to install the bag hook. However, like the other reviewers, I prefer to use my screws and go directly into a joist. I'm not a big fan of using expansion bolts for a bag hangar.Overall, I'm impressed and very satisfied with the hangar. I'm looking forward to working on the heavy bag again.

This appears to be a cast plate with a decent snap swivel mounted to it.The plate is substantial and pre-drilled - they supply lag screws and concrete anchors.Rated at 900lbs, I don't see any stamped or engraved load ratings - so I would not use this for suspending people - but it probably is good for up to 900 lbs and would be fine for a bag. I much prefer to through bolt whenever possible - which can be done, just not with the provided screws.I'm using it as a utility point in the garage for lifting things - 350 lbs and less - so it seems perfectly fine. Its a relatively inexpensive solution for a strong and convenient attachment -

Strong and heavy. I prefer to use my screws though - better made. But the piece is solid and a great way to attack a bad to a joist.
