I use these for utility-grade boxes like cases for my tap wrench, they are fit for purpose. Not a solid brass jewelry box grade but the price would be 100x higher if they were.

Latch stays closed nicely and will look great on a jewelry box or other small box.I would recommend for a non-locking type latch.The finish is bright, and the latch is well-made.Price is pretty good for these.I'm happy with the purchase.

A fairly inexpensively-made product, but it does the job. The latch does not spring open as I was hoping, but that's not too much of an inconvenience. I did not properly check my measurements and underestimated the size latch I wanted, so I was a bit shocked when I received them in the mail and saw how small they were (see photos). The paint has already started to tarnish on a few of the latches, but that's about what I'd expect for the cost. This would be perfect for small jewelry or memento boxes.
