What are slip leads? They are leashes without a clip. Instead, they have O-rings that you slip the handle through. No collar needed! Simple, functional dog lead. The size is perfect for my Great Dane - 6' upright, 125 pounds. My favorite color in the group is the red. It looks stunning against his short shinny black coat. With a dog as big as mine, he better be gentle and well trained, as these are thin. I do not believe they would break easy, but if you have a wild beast, forget it. I can not use one on my Dogue de Bordeaux, as need a halter to control him, and he is only 106 pounds. Every dog is different.

I couldn't find these slip collars for a long time. I had one about10 years and I lost it. I love them because I can slip a leash over the dog's neck without hooking it to the collar. It is so handy when my dog run agility without a leash. Then when she's finished, I pull this light weight nylon leash out of my pocket and slip it over her head.

We use these on a daily basis in a vet clinic, I purchased this brand because they came in a large enough quantity and they were well priced. So far they are all breaking at the handle with very little pressure. The picture above I was able to easily pull apart with my hands. We thought there was 1 or 2 faulty ones in the package, but we haven't found any that stay together so far. Returning the rest.

Nothing to stop the lead from choking the dog/puppy. Therefore not safe.

These are just what I needed. I keep them in my car in case I pick up a stray (there are tons where I live). They're not super thick, or long term sturdy but they do the job when i need a quick leash! They're not super comfortable on the hands but this is really meant to be a temporary rescue type leash. I'd buy them again

UPDATE: BEWARE!!!! Some of these straps are not sewn well - always pull the rings to test the stitching. Still okay for the cost.These have been great so far for our rescue pets and it gives me a lead to give away. I have not had any breaks and they seem very secure, even on larger dogs. I did read about others' experiences with some of them breaking so just for some added security, I decided to use two leads on the larger dogs. I wish there was some type of slide to keep it from getting too loose.It is not great for some of the dogs who pull too hard because it seems to choke them more than a thicker lead or collar would.Overall, I am very satisfied with these leads and will likely order again.
