This is much much better than you can buy in big box stores. This version with the brass valve is definitely worth it, it’s very durable and smooth to operate! The spray is perfect for any size of plants and the water flow is great. It’s also made in WI, made in the USA! Buy one and don’t think twice.

The Dramm watering wand is a very well made product and is much more effective and durable than the ones usually offered at the big box hardware/building supply stores. The shut off valve is high quality and is easy to use with just your thumb. It doesn't leak like all the other big box store watering wands. This is THE watering tool you need!

The spray head has a multitude of holes consequently normal water pressure is insufficient to create a spray, water just drops out like there was no spray head just an open hose. Came from Amazon.com USA so difficult to return, just have to say that the phone contact for Amazon.uk was unbelievably helpful but I can’t say more than that.Buy the illustrated sprayhead from Draper, it’s not a wand but it’s magic.

This is great for watering hanging baskets, raised beds, flower pots, just about any vegetable or flower garden application. These come with a high quality ball valve that encourage you to conserve water by making it easy to switch--off or to reduce flow. Simple yet quality tool. This is my second one of these. I have not found a worthy competitor for the Dramm. Yep, it costs a bit more, but it's worth it, at least in my experience.Dramm sells the same ball valve as a stand alone unit for almost as much as this wand. When my first wand was destroyed (3 month old Lab) I saved the valve and I've been using it for 5 years on my water hose.

Love this wand! The best quality and water delivery I have experienced in a watering wand. Easy to turn on and off and the metal tooling is worth the difference in coast. There is only a soft rain water level, but it delivers more water while remaining genital. My watering time has been greatly shortenen. I have hanging baskets on long chains in my Sycamore tree. The longer leanth of the wand was great for reaching my baskets. The unanswered question is, will this wand last longer, without leaking; then wands I have had in the past? I would buy this wand for the landscaping I do for others or as a gift for friends that love gardening as much as I.)

Got tired of buying water wands from the local stores that lasted a season or two if you were lucky. This wand is built very well and should the plastic head need replacing will be easily accomplished. The on/off valve is very heavy duty brass which is another bonus. The wand isn't cheap but is as good as you will ever find for your watering needs.Update: The brass Dramm valve that comes with this is very heavy but unfortunately poorly machined. There isn't enough surface area on the inlet side for the hose washer to seal so the unit leaks terribly. By the time I checked out the complaints from my wife it was past the 30 day return policy. As it is...the unit is junk and don't waste your money purchasing it. Perhaps I received a defective valve but how do you return it for the "lifetime guarantee"?

I spent a lot of time trying to find the right watering wand to water my bushes out front...more time than I'm willing to admit. I finally decided on the Dramm 12501 Rain Wand, and I'm very happy I did. I briefly debated the wands with multiple stream patterns, but eventually decided that I wanted something made of metal so that I didn't have to worry about accidentally cracking it into pieces. I looked at others that can flex in various directions but again, they all seem to be made largely of plastic. So, I decided to trust the other positive reviews for this product and give it a try. What I got was something that seems to defy physics with the deluge-like amount of water it puts out, while still having such a gentle delivery. It feels very solid, is just the right length, is almost all metal, is very comfortable to hold, and has a great [metal] flow control at the base which works perfectly. If you've gotten to this product, I'd recommend you just stop looking now and add this to your cart.

Now here is an item I can heartily endorse. I'm writing a review because there is a method for using this product that I don't recall seeing in the description. In addition to the fast (I mean really fast) watering you can do with this terrific product, you can also use it as a soaker. I bought this after my watering wand literally broke in two. It was the variety with all of the 5 or 6 settings that none of us uses. I did, however, use the soaker setting to deep water trees and shrubs in this part of my garden. I was happy to discover that the valve used to shut off the water at the junction of wand and hose will also allow you to vary the flow rate from "off" to "full flow". This is really handy, since I don't have to return to the faucet and change the flow rate. A real time saver. This is money well spent, in my view. You won't be sorry if you buy this. You may ask why I wonly give the wand a 4-star rating? Well, there was one other setting on my previous water wand that I sorely miss and that is the 'jet' setting. It was perfect for getting water in the little holes on some of my self-watering pots I hang around my garden. If it had that one setting, it would be a five-star product for me. That said, I wouldn't give this back for anything. It has cut down my watering time by almost half. Worth every dime.

I water a large number of orchids. In the past this was a time consuming effort with a 1.5 gallon bucket that needed multiple filling of water and fertilizer. The Dramm water wand with a brass shut-off valve has made speeded up this task tremendously. I prefer the shut off to the Dramm Touch and Flo valve, because there is less fatigue in holding the wand if you have a smaller hand. I use it in conjunction with the Dramm siphonjet that mixes the fertilizer with the water stream.Very happy with the ease of use of the Dramm wand and the ease of hooking up and changing watering heads when desired.Well made, light weight product.
