Great asset for a standard 5-pc drum set to easily expand it with add-on toms(Pearl from Amazon). The notches need some engineering to work on the some tom holders. I recommend filling the gap with cymbal foam and, if needed, some small steel brackets (like popsicle sticks) that Amazon sells.

This connector did not hold any of my cymbal holders or tom holders so I returned it. It is also very cheaply made. I would recommend spending more for a Tama or Gibraltar version.
