I have a Mitutoyo version of this height guage that I bought from a lab. I choose this guage as a cheaper alternative for a second unit. It appears to use the identical double column with a different read head. The sliding motion and smoothness of the two units are similar and I would recommend this version. The extra cost of the Mitutoyo is not justified for my purposes.
