The timing of the blinkers seems to be a little different than what they were stock. Realistically, it’s not a problem, but it annoyed me at first until I got used to it. Other than that it was just plug and play.

I've purchased two of these, they both broke soon after installing. I believe there's a component in them that is extremely vulnerable to radio-frequency bursts as both of them seemed to fail when I was trying to open my garage door with its own clicker. I would encourage people to avoid this part as it is either very very poorly designed, or there's a very weak part used in it.Eventually what will happen is the unit will just click all the time, draining your battery. It will still work for controlling the blinkers, but something inside loses resistance and the clicking goes on forever, even when your engine is shut off (blinker units are powered with the engine off so you can use the hazard flashers). Currently I have to remove the unit every time I park my vehicle and re-plug-it-in every time I use it. I'm going to start looking for a better constructed version.

So far it works like a charm to eliminate the hyperflash in my 2005 Ford Ranger after switching to all LED bulbs. My only gripe is the lack of instructions. I figured out how to get to the original on my own but instructions would have made it easier and faster.

Unfortunately, if you have a 2009 and up F150, this is not a solution for fast blinking due to replacing conventional bulbs with LEDs. There is no serviceable flasher in the car -- the rate is controlled by the BCM. Even the clicking sound is simulated. The only solution is to use resistors at the bulb end to present enough load so that the BCM thinks there's an incandescent bulb installed. This has the minor disadvantage that if your LED bulb does fail (which is really unlikely), you won't know it, because the resistor still makes it seem like the bulb is functioning.Amazon sells adapters that plug into the existing sockets that include load resistors. I'm going to try that, I think.I'm disappointed that this product didn't wrok in my truck.
