This thing is way too large to fit inside the original relay compartment. This is not for a grand Cherokee at all. Who knows what car it would actually fit in.

Plug only worked for the turn signals when XJ was powered on. Hazard lights didn't work. Also when XJ was off the heater blower would stay on and the relay had a clicking sound like the turn signals were on.

It was either defective manufacturing or design error - the pins are ever so slightly off as to not fit as a replacement part for the 2001 - 2006 Jeep TJ. Buyer Beware.

I purchased a 2003 Jeep TJ that has stock bulbs in the front but LED taillights in the rear. Fast blink when turn signals but 4 way flashes were normal. After replacing with this 5 prong relay, turn signals are normal but 4 way flashers do not work. Just buzzing from the unit. I’ll keep it because we use the turn signals way more but just be aware you may not get both depending on what lights you’re running.

Ad stated "EP27(EFL-4) for 2001-2017 JEEP WRANGLER TJ JK, Pin Flashers Compatible LED Electronic Turn Signal & Hazard Warn Hyper Flash Flasher Relay". Once I received the part, I found out JK's don't have turn signal flasher relays. It is built into the circuit of the JK. Not a replaceable part. fixed problem using resistors on each LED signal instead. Was not a 'special LED flasher' problem.

This is a solid state version of a traditional flasher. It will trigger on a fixed time delay. This flashes the lights when you've switched to low current (led) lights that do not flow enough for a "old school" current-defined switch.old type flashers had a bimetal spring that heated up with current flow (the lights flow current to illuminate) that would then "trigger" and switch. Led's mess with that timing. This will perfectly replace that type of flasher.HOWEVER you must know the system type you're working with. It can be used in just about any vehicle, but non-standard lighting systems may require wiring changes. Some vehicles do NOT use a traditional flasher in the traditional way. Some vehicles (mostly chrysler/fiat products) used it as a timer only and a lighting control unit, or module cycles the various lights. Some vehicles wire in odd patterns to give flasher function on alternate corners as a (supposedly) safety feature. If your vehicle is not wired like a standard car (most vehicle lighting systems are essentially the same from about 1930-current models which use led lighting from the factory) this may require you making vehicle wiring changes in order to use it. This is not a fault of the device, but rather a miss-use of the device.this device is ONLY a fixed timer. That's it. If your car is non-conventionally wired, that is up to you to research and know before you start modding it. Know your project. If your vehicle is Pre-can-bus era, you have a 99% chance it's conventional, after that, it can be hit and miss depending on manufacturer. This is one of those things, ten minutes of research would save these reviewers a lot of stress, by just seeing "what it takes" to properly retrofit their older vehicle with led lights.
