I had bought this for my husband whose truck didn’t come with cd player. Very easy to use. Plug in usb cord that the player came with and then chose audio and then usb on touchscreen radio for it to work. It worked right away. No issues. We did not have to use enclosed decoder or remote that came with it. Steering wheel buttons work with the cd player. Quality of sound is great too. No skipping when going over bumps.

I can finally play CDs in my car! Unfortunately all the new car models seem to be without a CD player and especially when I travel I found that there's no way to play CDs in any of the cars I rent. Now I have a solution though because I can bring this with me and use it on rental cars, friends cars, and I can even plug it up to computers or laptops if I need to to run CDs. My laptop doesn't have a disk drive either and lately I've needed to pull data from old photo discs so now I have the perfect way to do so!

I finally replaced a 20 + year old vehicle with an in dash CD player and while there are lots of nice features it is nice to be able to play discs too. Right out of the box this worked great with my 2022 Toyota Tacoma; I used the USB (and extension) to run through the USB port and control using the in dash monitor. The seller was super helpful when I asked a question prior to purchase. It is also nice to have the portable unit for other uses.

Pros: Nice and compact, loads up tracks pretty quickly via USB connection to the 11.6" head unit on my 2025 Subaru Outback. It played tracks fine when I was parked--I did not test it while on the road.Con: It adds 3-4 seconds of silence to the beginning of each track. So if you have a CD where one song immediately transitions into the next song, there will be 3-4 seconds of interrupting silence between tracks.
