The conventional manual threaders are the reason I gave a 3 star, they work as they are designed to.My disappointment is with the fancy ones. Since my eyes are not what they used to be I had really hoped they would work correctly, but it takes many attempts to get the thread to actually pull through the eyelet.

I see, do embroidery , beading , and I’ve always hated threading needles. I have small sample bags to my two daughters. Then I put them everywhere with each craft. The solid little hooks I find best for the sewing machine. The only one we had trouble with is the largest one - a rectangle of red, yellow or orange. It didn’t consistently thread the sewing needle.

I love this set. It's great for a prize box for a home ec teacher. Or just having a bulk amount of threaders on hand. I've really enjoyed having these.
