The Trammel Unit for the Festool OF 1010 Router allows you to rout precise circles and decorative curves from 6-1/32 inches up to 29-7/8 inches in diameter. Anchored in the center with the included trammel point, and attaches simply and securely to the router using thumbscrews.

Der Zirkel wird in einem Kunstoffköcher geliefert, der für die weitere Aufbewahrung genutzt werden kann. Er kann Kreise fräsen im Durchmesser von 153 bis 760 mm. Ebenso können natürlich entsprechende Radien gefräst werden.Vorteile:- sehr einfache und schnelle Montage bzw. Nutzung- der Zentrierdorn ist spitz und in der Höhe flexibel. Dadurch passt er sich der Bohrungstiefe in der Kreismitte an.- geringer Platzbedarf im Vergleich zu anderen Zirkeln- robust, weil einfachNachteile:- keine kleineren Kreise als 153 mm Durchmesser möglich.- zwar gut, aber etwas teuer für das bisschen Metall.Fazit: Wer schnell und einfach Kreise/Radien fräsen will, kann hier zugreifen. Würde mir das Teil jederzeit wieder kaufen.

This also works for the OF1400. It even mentions the OF1400 on the packaging. The trick to getting it to work is to insert another bar in the other slot. The OF 1400 base needs both rods for the knob on the base to tighten properly on the trammel rod. If you only insert the trammel rod, the base won't hold on tight to the rod.

Says it works for OF1400, but it doesn't, you can try to rig it but it will move and ruin your piece. Festool should change the packaging that states OF1400 compatible, since every dealer says it isn't. I was hoping against hope.

Lots of options online for making a circle jig, for a next to no cost. The trammel unit is over-priced by $10, but if you have the money and not the time, get it.Note that the smallest diameter circle you can make will be twice the distance from the bit to the edge of the router. Anything smaller, like for building speakers, will require a different or home-made jig.
