This works very well and is very adjustable for placement. I have a Caldwell catcher as well but at half the price this catcher is a great value.

Great functionality, will work with any AR style rifle with a pic rail. One note, it will NOT work if you use a scope, and that scope is on medium or low rings. Just a clearance issue. My .308 was too low, my .350 legend fit great. The netting is durable and held hot shells well. Another note, If by chance yours arrives without assembly instructions, there is actually a video on the product page. Great design, and a good value for the money.TADA!

The main issue is the spacing between the scope rings and if they are mounted directly on the Picatinny rail on top of the upper receiver. The optic height may be too low to fit the rail mounts underneath. The spacing between the rings may have to be moved to accommodate the rail mounts. If using a one-piece mount, then this catcher can't be used. Also, if a riser is used in conjunction with the scope rings, another no-go situation. Other than those issues, the bag fits well over the ejection port and the 2 supplied mounts work are adjustable. Fitting the bag over the wire cage was a bit trying, but victory can be achieved with a small amount strength in the hands.

This is a well made brass catcher. I like the design; it’s easy to set up and catches all the brass. Especially nice was the extra mounting bracket.

This system functions well on my Colt 7920LE and does not work on two other AR systems with red dots, nor on my Wylde with a Niccon 7-24x36
