This product featured a duel, separating set of iron log holders! If your fire place has a smaller opening, just use one orrrrr, stack these! It all holds the same in the end. (Till the ashes show up). Durable, fire resistant, and love to use! I immediately went to roast up some marshmallows in the middle of summer time just to test the future use of these during the winter. I was pleased. (Imagine a dad, smiling, with his eyes closed as he nods slowly with approval). Yup! That was literally me. Maybe I was enjoying the marsh- mellow at the same time I was satisfied with the purchase, but still!

The product is well constructed of heavy gauge iron bar stock, solidly welded. I plan on using this in my large fire pit, so I especially liked that it came in two sections, which allows me to decide if I want to leave them apart and place the units side by side or bolt them together end to end with the included hardware, (as the instructions suggest and would be appropriate for a fireplace use).

Fits in the fireplace well, good solid construction and extremely easy to assemble the two sides.This is replacing the very old grate that fell apart, so the quick delivery was a big helpThe grate is doing very well holding up the oak we burn and the heat dose not affect the grate at all.We are very happy with this purchase and the great price and speed of delivery, I'm positive this will last decades at least!

Disappointed upon opening the box...the product is not heavy-duty by any means...we would be lucky to get through one winter before it falls apart. The "log area" is very narrow, so maybe one or 2 smaller pieces of split wood would fit on it. It is not very heavy and it screws together. We will probably sell it on Marketplace because I doubt that the the screws holding the 2 pieces together will last long before they burn through. It is also NOT 30.5" side...it is 29" when put together. Won't buy this again and will end up going to a fireplace store to buy one that will will last. Our original one is very hard for me to lift, this weighs only a few pounds and a child (or older lady like me) could pick it up. READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU BUY THIS ITEM!!
