2024 purchase. I want to preface this review by stating that I've purchased Flashpoint products in the past (Streaklight 360 and Xplor 600), and find their products to be of great quality for the cost. This speedlight however, is not working for me.I've tried 2 units thus far, and both seem to have batteries that were completely dead on arrival, and will not charge. This speedlight is an older product, so I'm thinking the lithium ion batteries have completely discharged. I've left the batteries in their chargers for a few hours, but the power level indicator lights blink without the levels ever increasing. A shame, as the speedlight itself feels like a durable piece of equipment.

Excellent quality and power. Highly recommended by a friend photographer and he was right. This is a great flash at a great value for the price.

This camera flash speedlight from Flashpoint is quite useful for my photography work. It has a good built quality. Built in wireless is a great feature of it. It has a longer battery life and good refresh time on full charge. It makes it easy for me to adjust levels and exposure.

Great product, and I really like using lithium ion batt power for all my needs instead of carrying around 12 AA batts in my pocket. The flash recharge is super quick! Really nice flash; I shot a rehearsal dinner for a friend with great results, just using the bounce card outside with nothing to bounce the light off of. Easy to adjust levels and fine tune exposure, etc. My only gripe is that it swivels on one axis and not both; in order to take pictures in portrait mode I had to take my flash off the hotshoe and use my cable connector. This flash is probably best used off-camera, though I would love to have an Li-ion batt powered flash that swiveled both ways for on camera flash. Can't wait to get the wireless controller and try out the other capabilities!

Attempted to replace Nikon SB5000 but facing many issues with this flash. Made well and built in wireless is good feature. Since there is no "Auto Aperture" mode and TTL is the only option to shoot in auto mode, LiOn battery can not recycle fast enough in frequent shots. TTL pre-flashes drains battery but pretty acceptable exposure in dedicated TTL only mode. Manual mode is champ. My purpose of switching to Flashpoint (Godox) was radio wireless TTL but using with another identical flash and Flashpoint Xplore 600 I am disappointed with TTL exposure accuracy. My master and slave both require +1 - 3 stops compensation to get somewhat acceptable TTL exposure. Still trying to make it work but don't think I will explore any more hidden treasure in these flashes. Comparing build quality and price of these flashes with Nikon Speedlight unquestionably these are very good flashes.

Own 2 of these & have used several times now. I am most happy with quality & performance. Batteries last so much longer and no more AA batteries or awful rechargeables to lug around! Once I know these will stand the test of time (& I think they will), I'll sell my Nikon & Youngnuo speed lights

Amazing flash! On the battery life alone, it's SO worth it! Great value. I was able to shoot an entire wedding on 1 battery. I have a few of the xplor 600 monolights as well, so in terms of compatibility, I'm set. Well made, easy to use, great results!

I initially bought this as a backup. Then I fell in love. Now my entire kit consists of Flashpoint lights. In no particular order:1. LiOn battery is stupendous. The battery will last 1.5 weddings long. Battery indicator is ON THE LED. No more guesswork like with AAs.2. Performs like Nikon - but way better. Quality of light is the same, but this baby won't overheat like a certain $585 POS...ahem.3. Build quality is top notch. For under $200, this beast is built like a tank. I have no fear of putting this up on a lightstand 15'. If it breaks, who cares- it's under $200.4. The best part is when you combine more than one. The integrated radio, slave mode, commander modes, and the fact that you can integrate this with Flashpoint's XPlore monolight is simply thrilling. NO MORE pocket wizards, NO MORE wires, NO MORE battery packs, NO MORE AA batteries. Pop them on a stand, and you're set - of course you need to set up your channel and groups, but it's easy to set that up before an event, or even during.I can't speak highly enough about the off camera flash system. Each flash can be a commander or slave - power settings controlled right on the flash from your camera.Wanna set off your room lights AND on camera flash? No problem. Wanna set off the room but not the on camera flash? Again, no problem. The radio triggering works just as dependably as PocketWizards - except without the PocketWizards.I have 6 of these for less than the cost of 2 Nikon flashes. These are absolutely loaded with features Nikon just can't compete with. The only thing missing is Nikon's Aperture mode. I never used that mode, so I don't miss it.CONS1. The head is a little stiff, so when turning or flipping the head, you need to hold onto the base of the flash for fear of twisting the mount. Your muscle memory will make this an easy fix. I don't notice when I do this anymore.2. The flash pouch doesn't have a belt loop. I have a drawer filled with useless pouches now.3. You NEED to turn off the AF assist beam. At slower shutter speeds, it'll show up in your photos. It will also piss off any videographer you're working with, but that might be a good thing if you're mean.4. There's a lot of buttons - all necessary, but it'll take some getting-used-to.5. These cons are nit picky. Not enough for me to justify dropping a star. With all these features, it's super easy and relatively inexpensive to replace your entire lighting kit with the Flashpoint system. Add a Flashpoint XPlore or two, and you'll be un-freakin'-stoppable.
