Great travel fishing net. Much larger than I expected. (I should have paid more attention to the listing details, as I could have ordered a smaller one!) Impressive how small it packs down. Comes with a high-quality bag. The net material seems durable. The rim of the net is not as solid as I was hoping. The material is quite flexible (enabling it to easily fold) but this makes it more difficult to hold the rim itself for hauling in a catch, although there is a rope from the ring/rim that can be used instead. I actually ordered the net for another purpose outside of fishing (although I also have a kayak and will probably try it from my boat at some point), as an aid for cleaning muck out of the bottom of our pond. So I was hoping to be able to easily hold the rim, using it to scoop with while standing in the pond. And for this purpose I was actually hoping it would be slightly smaller. (Again, my fault for not looking carefully at the dimensions). It may still work for this other purpose, I just haven’t tried it yet.

This is a decent bridge or pier net. The rim is fairly thin and flexible, but was sturdy enough to get under the fish when I used it. A bit more weight would actually make it easier to use. The pull-up rope is thin but fairly sturdy (I'll likely replace it with something thicker and softer, for improved strength and comfort.) It folds easily and fits nicely in the provided carry bag, which has thin straps to allow for carrying it on your back. Fair value.

I went saltwater fishing a couple of times last year and needed a pier net to land a couple of good sized fish. I was lucky and got to use someone else's nets each time, due to their foresight. This net is handy for the bigger fish, you cannot just always muscle through bringing up a fish without the line breaking. The line could break and you will be very sad because that fish will just swim away. I went ahead and got this so I can pack my own pier net on my fishing trips and when I catch the big ones. I will be ready and able to bring them in on my own from now on. Note: Not a fan of the provided rope/string, I will be replacing it pretty soon after I test it out.

This was a Father's Day gift for my father-in-law to replace his old cotton net that was falling apart everything you picked it up.This net is made of good, sturdy materials, and it folds up nicely when you're finished. Its best quality is also its worst quality. The net is very lightweight, which is great, but it's almost impossible to get it positioned correctly if there is any bit of wind.We tied a few weights to the outside, and they helped a little, but they get tangled up in the net, so we are going to get some larger weights that won't go through the net holes to help give it some weight next time. Other than that, this net is great!

This is perfect for a particular jetty that I fish close to where I live. I have pulled up multiple slot size striped bass using this net where it would have been impossible to dead stick the fish up. It is super compact and can be worn like a backpack. I have nets that are more durable than this but the portability aspect of this one cannot be ignored.
