Excellent net which can fully cover your head even when wearing a wide-brim hat. There is decent visibility through the net as well.

Sorpresa dal fatto che con rete nera la visibilità è davvero ottima, direi proprio superiore alla "classica" rete bianca. Devo ancora provarlo in azione, ma per intanto sono contenta che non puzzi di plastica o abbia odori strani.

I use it to work in the yard with it. The weight is just right, not too heavy but heavy enough to handle moderate breezes. It effectively keeps bugs out of my face. The length is just long enough to cover all areas around the should er but not so that it is in the way when bending down. Vision is excellent in sunny and bright cloudy days. It becomes an issue in dark cloudy days but it is worth the sacrifice. I highly recommend this net and would buy again.

The first time I wore it I forgot about the possibly of looking silly because I suddenly didn’t have gnats in my eyes and nose and mosquitos hovering for a meal. I quickly forgot about it and enjoyed the hike more. It weighs next to nothing but it is sturdy and well made. Large enough to fit over most hats and heads and is adjustable. You do need a hat with at least a bill to keep it off your face. Well worth the money in both quality and functionaliy.

Works great. Sized large enough for me to use over my rain / sun hat, a Marmot Precip Safari hat with a 3" brim all around. The wide brim keeps the netting off my ears and neck thereby making it harder for bugs to bite through it. With a baseball cap, the netting would lie on your skin in some places and a mosquito or black fly could bite you. There's a drawstring to cinch up the bottom around a shirt collar. And it adds virtually no bulk or weight to a pack. While it may be a little annoying to wear this, your choices are.....1.) Dealing with annoying itching bug bites and risking getting sick on the trail.2.) Using DEET or Picaridin on your exposed skin which is an annoying coating of slimy chemical.Personally, I think the net is lighter, safer, and cheaper than using chemical repellents. I still carry Picaridin but I use it sparingly and a bottle lasts a lot longer. Also, if you are in black fly country, the sheer numbers can drive you insane even if you're not getting bitten because you're using a repellent. They get in your hair, your nose, your mouth, your ears. The net is just a much better solution for these nasty little pests. Can also be used to create a crayfish trap or a net for small fish and frogs in a survival situation.

This thing was great. I started later than most, May 18. Don't listen to those who say don't bring it in the desert (Mt. Laguna shake down). Several of us ran into places where flies and gnat critters would dive bomb your nostrils and eyeballs in the desert. This was wonderful to have. Not a whole lot to say as it is small light, and does the job of keeping bugs out of your face.I even slept cowboy style a few times while wearing it and it was effective (while wearing hat). You do need a hat as pictured to keep it off your skin/face. Bugs will bite you through it if it lays on your skin anywhere. It was easy to see through and I didn't notice any heat being trapped. Wore it in the desert, Northern California and Oregon. Didn't really need for Washington when I got there.

Saved me from the black fly and mosquito onslaught in the Adirondacks. Worked great and fit well. It is part of my must have camping gear kit.

Very good net. Used this net on my Appalachian Trail hike and it work against noseeums, gnats, mosquitos, and the hated black fly. Net packs very light and compact (comes with small stuff sack). Stuff it in a corner of your pack and you will almost forget you have it along. The thing that makes this net better than others I tried is it's size. It is large and works with full brimmed hats or baseball caps equally well. The net falls to the shoulders and does not collect around the neck unless you choose to pull the drawstring tight. The size allows for easy on and off and a minimum of adjusting. Bigger is better in this case.

I'm allergic to nasty chemicals on my face and won't go near anything with DEET. But the mosquitoes swarm around my face so bad whenever I go swimming, biting the heck out of me, that I have to get out of the pool! I've tried slathering on strong smelling herbal cold cream and wearing a baseball cap with Buzz Away citronella spray on it... they still follow my face trying to get at it. I hate that high pitched buzzing sound....it's creepy. But this mosquito net not only kept them away from my face, but for the 30 minutes I swam, not ONE SINGLE mosquito came near me. Not one! It was a miracle. I thought it might feel claustrophobic or suffocating around my face but instead it made me feel like I was in a little oasis, protected. What a blessed peace of mind to not be constantly twisting my face to get away from mosquitoes & waiting for that bite-itch!At first it was a bit like looking through a screen door but then I got pretty used to it. Actually I could see pretty good! I just put the bill of my cap down low & the bottom of the net where you cinch the drawstring goes down into the water. (I swim with head above water, BTW).I ordered the plain net with no chemical treatment (I heard it's useless & who wants that stuff near your face). Instead I just squirted a spritz of Buzz Away Extreme on the top of my head & the sides for good measure. (I might try it without it next time?) I think the net might even keep the blood-suckers from smelling the carbon dioxide in your breath... it was like they're weren't even aware I was there.I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!

Does the trick! I use this for walks in the woods in the summer and it keeps the flies off my head. And it's really not difficult to see out of at all. I liked it so much I bought one for my husband.
