This unit worked perfectly to use a Dewalt 20v battery on a Dewalt 12v tool. This will not work to couple a 20v batter to a charger.

This adapter for DeWalt 20V to 12V Battery, Convert for DeWalt 20V 60V Battery to Work for DeWalt 12V Lithium Battery Tools works great! It's much better than another manufacturers version I have that will not work at high amp draws, it's useless when trying to drill. This one is the one you want if you have 20V and 12v Dewalt tools. I have at least 6 of the 6AH 20V Dewalt batteries I use for my drill, inverters, and lights that use them, and only 3 (2 of them only 2AH) for my 12V drill and impact tool, so I always have a fully charged 20V I can use in my 12V tools which actually last much longer then the 6AH 12v.

This has to be one of my personal favorite orders. This works perfectly giving you the option to use your 20v batt. on your 12v tools. No more multiple size chargers or batteries to tend to. Fitment is spot on & quality is nice. One thing to note though, Remove the battery from the converter after use to prevent draining the battery down.

If you are looking to repurpose your old batteries from old Dewalt items and save them from the junk heap, this is worth the money.

This is a great adapter. I have been wanting to try some the smaller 12 V DeWalt tools, but I am so heavily invested in the 20 V battery line that I did not want to buy anything that did not use them. This adapter now allows me to use my 20 V batteries with 12 V tools

My husband uses the DeWalt 20V to 12V Battery Adapter to allow his 12V tools to work with his 20V batteries, and he’s really happy with it! It’s a great solution for not having to buy separate batteries for his different tools. The adapter works well, and he finds it easy to use. It’s convenient because it gives him the flexibility to use his larger 20V batteries with his 12V tools, without compromising on performance. Overall, it’s a great addition to his DeWalt collection and has made his tool setup much more versatile. Highly recommend!

As a test I tried to use the adapter to a non-DeWalt power tool that is supposed to work with either DeWalt 12v or 20 battery packs. As a check, I plugged my DeWalt 20v DCB201 into the tool and it worked. Next I tried to plug the same DeWalt battery into this adapted and it fit very tightly. However, when I tried to plug the adapter into the tool it didn't come close to fitting. After struggling for about ten seconds to separate the DeWalt battery pack from the adapter, I declared it a no-go. Ultimately, I didn't rate this as a one-star because the tool I used is not DeWalt.
