About this item

  • Application --- Designed specifically for Minn Kota Ulterra, Terrova, PowerDrive, PowerDrive V2, PowerDrive Pontoon and Deckhand 40 trolling motors. It can be used on a standard bow mount or a scissor bow mount. NOTE: Do not use with motors equipped with a shaft 72”or larger. Do not use with 112lb thrust motors.Replacement for OEM parts: MKA-21 | 1854021
  • Function --- Quick release mounting bracket allows trolling motor to be quickly removed from and reattached to boat deck. When fly-fishing on the boat, you can remove trolling motor or reattach it on front of the boat conveniently and easily.
  • Low-profile --- The quick release's low-profile design leaves the deck clear when the motor is removed, and a locking "U" handle with stainless steel pins will keep you motor on the boat more securely. Besides, you can run a padlock (not included) through the hole in the outer metal locking pin to help prevent theft.
  • Easy installation --- The Outer plate directly install to the trolling motor. The inner plate directly install to the deck of the boat. Drilling is required. To attach the two parts of the quick release plate, simply set the large outer plate on top of the smaller inner plate and press the stainless steel "U" shaped handle through the side of the mounting plates and the outer metal locking pin.
  • Composite --- Composite Quick Release Bracket is constructed with high stability composite material, resistant to rust, corrosion, and discoloration. It can even resist everything from UV's to Oxidation from salt water environments. Meet your need and durable to use.

I ordered a 55lb Minnkota and wanted a quick mount but I didnt like the other style of quick release so I gave this a try. Its great as there isnt much left on the boat when you remove the motor so covers wont have an issue.

This bracket worked perfectly! Now, when I first got it, I had issues pulling the bar out. It was nearly impossible until I stuck it in the freezer for about ten minutes and then it came right out. Once it gets warm out in the weather, it tends to be hard to remove or insert so be careful not to bend it trying to get it in or out. Luckily, I don't plan on taking the trolling motor off very often so it's not really an issue for me.
