I confess I don't know what Power Wheels are - I got this because when the power goes out I usually have an array of tool batteries all charged up, but little cause to run out and blow leaves, trim hedges or drill holes. It's nice however to have lights and means for charging things, so I got this and adapted it to connect to some automotive lights and act as a general voltage source. Haven't lost power yet since I got it, but nice to know it's there, especially with a handy fuse and switch. I also have a lot of Black and Decker 20V batteries & couldn't find anything like this for them, so since this screws apart easily and has well-made, solid, screw-mounted contacts I designed and 3D printed a switchable insert (the black part) for those batteries too. I feel like I got a lot of functionality/security from a low priced part.

I use this to take with me to the salvage yard. The product itself is of good quality and it's nice having the on/off switch. So far very durable after being thrown into my tool box multiple times. 5 STARS

To be clear, these adapters are for utilizing Craftsman 20v cordless tool batteries in whatever appliance one chooses to attach them to. They are NOT for adapting “Power Wheels” Ride-on toy car batteries to Craftsman cordless power tools.I got them for using my Craftsman tool batteries on other Chinese made 20v cordless tools that use proprietary battery pack designs that are almost impossible to find replacements for. So I’ll be modifying the tool batteries, removing the cells and installing wires with a uniform connector system that I can connect to these battery adapters with enough wire to drop them into a tool pouch or apron pocket so they don’t need to be mounted directly to the tools. Perfect for my mod project and the price is very reasonable as well.

From the description, it was assumed this included a 40 VDC to 12 VDC step down voltage converter since Power Wheels have 12 and 6 V batteries.I also bought a 12 VDC to 5 VDC step down converter to use Ryobi 40 volt batteries to provide power for security cameras that had no power near by. You can buy a unit from Ryobi that does this but they're about $100 at the big box stores. The pieces for a simple home made version costs about $15.Unfortunately, when I checked the voltage on this adapter it read 40 volts,.. so no step down. Had to buy an additional 40VDC to 12VDC converter for about $6. All in still about 1/5th the cost of the packaged Ryobi version,.. but I could have made some kind of connector for the battery for next to nothing rather than spending $7 on this adapter that just basically provides 2 wires, a fuse and a switch at 40 volts.

I originally purchased a charging dock from Home Depot for about $100 for my Black & Decker battery pack. And that charger somehow disappeared. This was a great alternative that was not $100 but gets the job done.

These are good quality battery adapters. They are sturdy and not flimsy like some of these are. The wires are appropriate gauge. The switch has a solid 'click' when turned on. It includes and inline fuse and several replacement fuses for each adapter. The one area to improve is there are not any holes so the adapter can be secured for mounting. I plan to drill a couple of holes in the base so I can screw it onto a board to secure it but it would be nice to have factory holes to use. These are solid adapters and will work well for my use.
