The last time I bought a pair of these, they were made by the same company and they lasted for close to 50 years. These will probably do the same, but I will not be around for the duration.

I am really disappointed with this purchase. I wanted several wide sets of canvas pliers for our production picture framing shop. The canvas pliers are advertised as 4-3/4" canvas pliers. I assumed they were talking about the width of the jaws. What I received was canvas pliers with a jaw width of 2-1/4". For what it is worth they look like nice canvas pliers. Just not the width I need/expected based on how they are advertised. I will be returning these.

I like this tool and it works great. It would be nice if the handles were more comfortable, maybe a rubber cover? I stretch large canvases and have to torque down on the pliers so a little cushioning around the handles would be great. I think for small canvases they would be perfect. Its a great tool and well built.

Does exactly what I expected. I stretch large canvas four ft and larger so there is a lot of pulling and stapling, only problem is , no rubberized grips

To get a really good grip you need one with rubber on it. This all metal one tears the canvas.

They are ok. Spring mechanism is weakfish. Just doesn't have a feel of high quality, but works ok. I use it as a backup pair.
