The pliers worked as well as it should but the cutting blade lasted 3 weeks before it will not cut mono anymore. I will not purchase it again. Disappointing product from Gamakatsu.

Primarily saltwater tropical use - so far they hold up, don't corrode, work just fine. Second pair as first were given to a friend.

Works great, only complaint is that the holster spins around too easily. Seems to be built very well though.

I have these tethered to my kayak. I've only used them to cut braid and mono so far and they worked great. I've never had an issue with Gamakatsu products and I don't anticipate these failing me. They feel rugged in your hands and maneuverable for setting up rigs and removing hooks. I like how they are spring loaded so they are ready to get to work immediately.
