Purchased for our garbage disposal. The builder put a switch inside the under the sink which was very inconvenient. This switch really makes it so much easier to use the garbage disposal.

I have three of these units. I have the same issue with all three.these were bought to control a garbage disposal. they will start the garbage disposal fine. but they will not turn it off. sometimes it will turn off the garbage disposal but only if I put the button close to the outlet.when I plug lights or Christmas tree lights into the outlet, everything works fine.So I don't know what the issue really is. but it seems to have problems dealing with high electrical draw item like a garbage disposal.I'm keeping all of the units for lights. but for garbage. disposals this is a hard pass.

Works great with no delay so the disposal turns on and off just as needed. It's nice that it can handle wet fingers, too.

With a number devices around my garage less accessible either due to height or stuff in front of it I find myself using these remote switches more and more. I found myself the other day wanting another one for a new fan I mounted up higher. I jumped on Amazon and this turned up in my search pretty early on so I decided to give a new brand a try. Plus it would arrive sooner than my normal brand. I was a little concerned at first before ordering that it claimed it was for the sink disposal as this made me think it was a momentary switch. Further reading indicated this could be used with other devices and since hardly anything needs momentary only capability I made an assumption.Well that assumption was a good one, this is an on/off switch not momentary. I like how small this unit is and the response between the button and the wall unit is pretty quick. There's no real noticeable delay like I've seen with some others. The manual claims this draws less than 0.05W at idle and I feel that to be legit. I was to lazy to test using my multimeter which is more sensitive but my clamp meter on 10X could not register any reading with the switch on or off.Now it's not all perfect for me personally. I think I know why the manufacturer did it but the back of the button has a stepped area in the center and the included double sided tape is a toroid (donut) around this step. I would have preferred a flat bottom personally for 2 reasons. First is the tape effectively becomes your one shot deal. If you ever need to move the switch it becomes arts and crafts to make a new toroid. It's also thicker than normal tape so you'll need to double up or more on it. The other reason I don't care for that setup is because without the tape toroid the button easily wobbles when you push the edge. I intended to hang this on the face of my garage cabinets with magnets so I was fortunate enough to have a thin steel disc the perfect size for the back but I assume others won't be so fortunate.

So easy to use and love that it can be concealed under a cabinet so it’s less prone to getting dirty like those expensive counter ones.

This wireless switch made for the perfect solution as suggested as a wireless garbage disposal switch, and that is exactly what I used it for since the garbage disposal in my home had a switch that was underneath the cabinet instead of on the countertop or ledge. It's super simple, I just plugged it to the wall, moved the garbage disposal plug to it and it simply works. Just push the button once to turn on and then again to turn off. It's not a momentary switch (the kind you hold down), so the switch is either on or off. Perfect!Other things I love about this wireless switch set is that it does not require wifi or a phone to use, it doesn't require complicated programming (mine worked out of box), and you can actually use it to add a switch to just about anything you own that plugs in, so there are a lot of great reasons to get this switch, and it's built really well for the cost of the switch, and adds tremendous convenience to control your plugged in devices without having to look for that upside down outlet that some houses have to switch control what's plugged into them.

Sure, this is designed for a garbage disposal...but with a switch like this you can convert almost any sort of appliance to wireless! Disposals are great because of the momentary on/off nature of the switch, but there are plenty of other applications for this.I tested the remote from about 30 feet and it still worked, so you could use this for lamps across the room, a gas fireplace, a loud buzzer, the list goes on and on like Celine Dion.
