Good set, just as good as any other much higher priced set. Will last forever when used on hand tools. I’m sure it would hold up to light use on an impact. Have a lot of gearwrench tools and have never had to use their warranty but I’ve heard they are easy to deal with

I am a small engine mechanic and primarily deal with small, two stroke engines. Many manufacturers are using torx head screws, and while t-handle style wrenches will suffice, power tools allow me to work faster.I like these bits because they are long enough to keep your driver/ratchet away from your workpiece and get a full swing in most cases. The best thing in my personal use case is being able to quickly run in a screw with a drill, and then easily switch to a ratchet for a more sensitive, final torque.

These are really high quality and give that extra length needed at times to get torx bolts out of European cars. I'd buy them again.

Another Quality Gearwrench Tool. This is a large set with all the most used sizes on a socket rail.

In case there is any question, these are branded Gearwrench. Sometimes they are labeled KD Tools. Both companies are a part of the Apex Tool Group, and sometimes I think maybe in the transition of companies, the same products might have been dually labeled or just mislabeled. I don't know. Anyway don't expect most of these tools to be made in America, if that's what you are thinking. The tools are still maed cheaply, but much better than really cheap tools. So as far as this set of torx sockets fo, I really like them. The socket ends look and feel very nice. The polish looks like a more expensive tool. The torx ends are obviously of lower quality. They aren't the same hardened steel that you see in SnapOn and MAC torx sockets, but for the price I wouldn't expect that. I feel that the ends will twist with over use/torque. They are lifetime warranty though. And the cool thing is you can warranty them through any Gearwrench dealer. Sears, SnapOn, MAC, Matco all sell Gearwrench so that's a huge plus.I would recommend these to anyone. I use them on a semi-regular basis at work for BMWs mostly. I haven't had one break yet, or twist even, but I imagine eventually it will happen. The only thing I wish is that this set had a molded plastic case instead of the clip rail. The rail holds them very snug but I guess I got spoiled to MAC's plastic cases for the torx and specialty sockets. No biggie though. Still nice tool for the price.

I just received them the other day, and I was immediately impressed with the look and feel of them. The ends of the torx bits are all the perfect shape, with no imperfections. I used the T15 bit today to adjust a headlight assembly, and it did the job perfectly. I applied probably about 30 or 40 lbs/ft of torque onto the bit, and it did not deform or bend at all.The socket rail is of great quality also--much beefier and better than the socket rails I have that are from Harbor Freight, which I am not surprised about. The ball bearings that hold the sockets in place are perfect: you can hold one of the sockets and shake the whole rail without it falling off, but it is also very easy to take the socket off when you want to.Obviously, I've only used any of the bits once, but it did the job. I will edit this review if I have any issues at all with the set. For now, I'm impressed with it, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

I've been a fan of GearWrench for years and own quite a few of their tools. I typically buy GearWrench over Craftsman, SK, and other brands because the products frequently seem to be identical, but the GearWrench prices are so much better. Generally speaking, they withstand considerable abuse, and I have yet to break any GearWrench tool. This is one of the most complete sets that you can find. It is also "tamper proof", meaning that each bit has a small recess in the tip, allowing them to work on Torx fasteners with a pin in the middle. They work on regular Torx fasteners too, so the set is quite versatile. The bits are extremely well made, and the included socket rail works much better than I expected, allowing the bits to be easily removed and clipped back on again, but not so loose that they fall off in the drawer. Before writing this review, I've had a chance to use most of the bits in the set for various car repairs. I'm not a professional mechanic, but I do get in to some fairly extensive projects. These bits seem to fit very snugly in the fasteners, not too tight, and not too loose. Sometimes, I can pull the fastener out with the bit, and also use the bit to guide the fastener back in. Saves a lot of time. The actual bit parts are tough enough that they don't dent or shatter when dropped on concrete floors, and the chrome sockets don't flake apart either. Couldn't be happier with my purchase :)
