Can’t believe how much better this is than my old cheap set. Should have spent more years ago. Would have saved me a lot of guess work, and trouble converting measurements. Much more accurate as well.

Easy to use, readings, and accurate enough for my needs. Though I was under the impression that I was purchasing a USA made tool, but it's not. Still, for the cost, I'm good with it. Handy tool to have for different measurments.👍

El calibrador Vernier es exactamente igual a la foto que aparece en Amazon, se ve y se siente como un instrumento de excelente calidad, es de acero inoxidable y la carátula que incluye la pantalla de cristal líquido es de metal cromado negro que le da un acabado brillante precioso, se siente en el peso del instrumento su calidad, tiene tres modos de medición en milímetros, pulgadas y fracciones de pulgada iniciando con 1/64" en adelante, y su resolución es como lo indica la información de Amazon: 0.01 mm, y 0.0005", las tenazas se abren y se cierran con mucha suavidad, las mediciones que he hecho se repiten muy bien por lo que el instrumento es muy preciso, no he comprobado su exactitud por medio de patrones, pero sus mediciones coinciden muy bien con las dimensiones de algunos objetos cuyas dimensiones conozco de antemano, por lo que supongo que su exactitud es también muy buena. Al cerrar las tenazas por completo a veces la pantalla marca -0.0005", sobre todo si baja la temperatura ambiente, pero este pequeño inconveniente se resuelve perfectamente bien poniendo el calibrador en ceros. Aunque la marca parece sugerir que está hecho en EEUU, la información que viene con el calibrador indica que está hecho en China. Viene en un estuche de plástico acolchonado interiormente que incluye una batería de repuesto LR44H, además de la que ya está instalada en el calibrador, y un pequeño desarmador con punta Phillips para abrir la compuerta de la batería. El estuche con sus accesorios es exactamente igual al que aparece en la foto de Amazon. El calibrador llegó justamente en la fecha indicada de arribo y no hubo ningún problema con el proveedor ni con el envío. Estoy muy satisfecho con esta compra.

Had several calipers over the years and they weren't anywhere close to the quality of this heavy stainless steel unit, easy to open and close with precise movement, even the battery cover heavy and set in place with a set screw. I also love the 3 modes of units, really like the fraction display. My prior one I bought at a woodcrafting store and was told it was quality but when i went to actually use it one of the plastic operating buttons had fell out and the unit would no longer power on. I also love that it comes with a hard case as these are somewhat delicate and need some level of protection to ensure they remain accurate. In fairness, I used this one once to measure something the day I received it but can spot quality when I see it.

My first was an inexpensive one that did only the basic things, and to that degree it was acceptable, but is was flimsy, and that did it in. This one is very sturdy, but even more important are the degree of accuracy and the conversion feature. Now I don’t know how I managed without it!

I previously bought a cheaper unit from another vendor, thinking it would suit my purposes. Unfortunately, it didn't work well at all, so I returned it and bought this one. It cost a bit more, but the extra cost has really been worth it! This is built well and works great!

I just received these and haven't put them to much use yet but did measure them against an A rated gauge block and it was spot on. The thumb wheel movement is smooth and allows for micro adjustment. The body is stainless steel and well ground. For quick measurements to .001 these are great. However the most useful feature for me is the ability to switch between inch, MM and imperial fraction, as a woodworker this comes in very handy. Overall very high quality for the money.

First off for the price point this set is made very durable and very smooth to use. Second the slide is made out of stainless and the display is easy to see and change. Lastly General made a very sound caliper and would highly recommend if you are in the market for a pair.

Tengo un vernier Antiguo, de acero, Perteneció a mi padre. A pesar de que lo valoro mucho, me resulta complicado (a pesar de haberle quitado lo mas posible, manchas de oxido que tenia), leer las mediciones. Sobre todo cuando hago mediciones en pulgadas y fracciones. Esta es una gran herramienta para los que se nos complican las mediciones en pulgadas y fracciones. Con presionar un botón, cambias tus mediciones de centímetros a pulgadas y a fracciones.Después de ver muchas opciones me decidí por este modelo. Tiene muy buenas calificaciones.Acero inoxidable, El panel de controles y pantalla es de metal, se siente robusto y resistente, con el peso apropiado de una herramienta de verdad..El estuche me gusta. Parece que durara.El vernier viene con una pila nueva y una de muestra ya instalada dentro del vernier (supuestamente para hacer pruebas cuando recién lo compras., y esta pila no durara mucho)., Es la que estoy usando ahoraTambién viene un pequeño desarmador de cruz, para cambiar de pilaHice varias pruebas, y tiene una exactitud perfecta.Estoy muy contento con este vernier.
