I have a 41TE transmission and I was having difficulty getting this leak to stop using the aftermarket part that was available from the auto parts store and I was hesitant to purchase this seal due to the higher cost and not being 100% confident that this would be any different than the aftermarket part. Prior to installing this part, I noticed that this was an improved design and once I placed this in the transmission, I felt completely confident that the leak would stop and it has stopped. It's been about 45 days and the seal has held perfectly. Don't buy aftermarket, spend the money and get this part. You'll be glad that you did.
