The suggested controller cable will not connect to the controller. I haven't found a replacement yet but just be aware the cable connector is not correct for this controller.

There is now a recall campaign for this part, if you are having issues with your controller, call your dealer.

Even though it fits in the OEM console location, AND it connects to the wiring behind the dash, it does not enable trailer braking. GM has made sure a dealer has to install and activate it, so don't bother. Just add an ugly under-dash unit and use a jumper harness sold for that purpose.
