しっかりした造りで，切れ味も最高です．カンナの入らないところなどを平滑化するのにも重宝しています．安物のカンナよりきれいに切れます．なおしっかり使うときは，事前に砥石で研いでいます．研ぎ甲斐があります．

DIY好きの素人です。ホームセンターで購入した３本セット2000円のノミでSPF材にホゾ穴を掘ろうとしましたが、どれだけ研ごうが木口部分を叩き潰すようにしか掘れず、さらに数度使っただけで刃先がすぐに欠ける始末。安物買いのなんとやらを後悔しながら、こちらを購入しましたが、買ったそのままでサクサク掘れる使い勝手に感動しました。ホゾの木口もキレイ仕上げることができ、作業効率も飛躍的に上がりました。素人DIYには値が張るけど……と覚悟して購入しましたが、買ってよかったと思います。
