Doesn't have the precision adjustment capabilities that my larger feeder has, but works great on the smaller stuff!

It is well built, very strong once in place and does exactly what it was meant to do. However, because of the ball-joint construction, you should be aware that it CANNOT joint edges. In other models, the body could be rotated by 90°, and press a piece vertically against the guide. This does not seem possible, as far as I have tested (only had it for a week and have not yet uised it for production). Also, a couple of levels included in the body would have helped position easily the feeder horizontally, both longitudinally and transversely. As it is, it is difficult to make sure it is pressing evenly the piece in both axis. And then, because of the mechanical union chosen, if your pieces have different height or thickness, you need to reposition the body by loosening both the vertical pivot AND the ball joint. In other models I have used, the whole feeder can move up and down with an electric motor and it takes a second to adjust the height of the feeder. But still, it is not announced as a full size adult so, it does what it is advertised for, and does it well. After several more hours of use, I maintain my previous comments but my appreciation has risen one more star (from 4 to 5). It works flawlessly for hours, does not heat up and has become my best choice even for higher production levels. Just don't use it with stock above 2" on the table saw and make sure the table is properly lubricated and adjust the speed.June 2016: I am downgrading drastically muy original review from 5 stars to 2 because after not using my first unit for two years as well as another brand new one I had set aside, I have discovered that all the neoprene rollers coating has turned to a soap-like consistency. The rollers neoprene is completely destroyed. this includes the brand new unit, sitting in its crate since july 2012. Shall get in touch with factory tomorrow and will adjust my review accordingly.June 15, 2016: Grizzly did send a message after I posted my complaint, about being a "valued customer" and that a factory representative would get in touch shortly with me about the problem. Nobody got in touch with me. In the meanwhile, I retreaded my rollers with industrial grade rubber and the result is fairly satisfactory, although the lumber gets a kind of shiny patina where the rollers are driving the piece. It seems I have to look more into reducing the drag on the cast iron table. Candle wax maybe? The neoprene, when it was active, did work quite nicely. Too bad. And I stick to my 2 stars review.

Don't be deceived by the description or appearance of this power feeder next to it's larger cousins from Grizzly. I purchased and installed this power feeder on a Grizzly shaper table. It eliminates the need for accessories like the "board buddies", and has very high torque. It does take a few minutes to setup for each new cut/shape, but it works smoothly. I've found myself needing to use scrap wood to set the speed and angle just right. Despite it's "baby" description it is a monster on a shaper table and does get in the way a bit. If anything, I think it could be a bit smaller. However, it has more than sufficient torque to pull any wood through. Overall I am pleased with the torque and how smooth it runs.
