There's a ton of foam in this case, it's thick plastic and weather (possibly water) proof. There's no doubt that this will keep your router protected in any environment.The case itself is heavy plastic, similar to a Pelican style case. Hinges are the same material and lock with a satisfying click. The entire hinged lid is gasketed, and there's an air release valve on the side. This leads me to believe that it will remain water tight in most environments. There is a cutout for a shoulder strap however it does not include one.There is about 5 inches of padding in this case, it's pre cut so you can remove or keep padding for space you wont use. The 20v Dewalt trim router fits fine in the cutout with the base plate attached, however you will have to remove any bits that are attached because there's no recess for that. I was able to put in the 2x 6Ah Batteries, the router and charger or a set of bits in the case so there's plenty of room. Honestly the accessories are pretty tough, you could probably remove more of the foam around the batteries/accessories and have more storage space.I highly recommend this case for the Dewalt trim router. Keeps everything nice organized and protected.

I've been a pro photographer for over 30 years and I can appreciate a good hard case. I know this unit is designed for a Dewalt router - but I have adapted it as a case for my portable flash lighting setup. This case is waterproof with a durable build. The latches hold firm and you can lock it if you so desire. It is pretty basic - but it does the job and does it well.

This hard case for the DeWalt cordless router is well made and the right size to accommodate the router, batteries, charger and accessories. The case itself is very strong and light weight. It has dense foam to separate the router and all accessories. It is well designed, watertight and durable. If you want to protect your router, this is a great case, and I recommend it.

I own plenty of woodworking routers, but my DeWalt battery powered router is special. It's not used for woodworking. It's dedicated to aluminum milling using a special jig. That jig was expensive and hard to get so I wanted a way to keep the router, jig, and accessories all together in one spot so nothing gets lost.This case is perfect. It was made with cutouts for batteries and a charger, but I keep my batteries and chargers in a dedicated location with easy access, so I don't need them in this case. I used that cut out space for the jig and accessories and there is plenty of room for more accessories as I collect them.

This is a well-made hard case. It feels sturdy, provides good organization for the router and bits, and requires no assembly. It's compact and easy to handle. However, one should know that this is just the case—tools are not included. Make sure it meets your needs and matches your expectations before purchasing.

I didn't pick this up with the intention of putting a router into it, but rather a case to travel (by ground) with a "cordless hole puncher". Seems to be a great product so far. I had to nit pick one thing though I would say it's the holes on the front corners generally intended for a place to put a padlock. These holes need to have a slightly bigger diameter in my opinion. Not a big deal normally, but just something to keep in mind if you ever wanted to lock this up with a quality padlock.
