It’s a great solution for adding more drives to a case, making upgrades and storage expansion much easier. It works well with older drives, ensuring compatibility without any issues. The setup is straightforward, and it does exactly what it needs to without any fuss. Overall, a solid and practical choice for those looking to maximize their storage options.

It connects easily to M.2, SATA, and IDE drives with no hassle. The 10Gbps NVME Dock speed means my transfers were lightning fast! The power adapter included makes it super reliable, even for bigger drives like 3.5” HDDs. This kit has made accessing and recovering data from old drives so much easier. If you're into PC repair or just need to recover data from old hard drives, I highly recommend this one!

You can only fit so many drives in a case. This allows you to go a bit beyond that. As an added bonus, it allows you to use internal drives like external drives, which makes moving them from one box to another much easier. The main attraction for me though, is I can now use three NVME cards where my mobo only supported two.

I've tried other USB connectors for various drives and had problems with all of them so my expectations were low for this one. I was pleasantly surprised that this worked much better with the old drives I had lying around. I was able to recover some old data and finally retire those unused drives.

This device was absolute garbage. I do not recommend purchasing this. It did not work out of the box. No lights on the device, it would not be seen by my computer, and would not do anything. I eventually got the lights to come on one time, and that was all. I requested a refund, but that didn't seem to go anywhere, so I took the device apart, and it looked like there was water damage or something on the device. There appears to be a lot of corrosion on the power pins, and the solder joints have a lot of porosity. It is a very cheap, poorly made system. I have used many different ones in my 25-year tech career, and this was by far the worst I have used. If I could give zero stars I would have. I do not typically leave reviews, but I could not allow this poor of a device to keep being purchased.

I had something like this when SATA was the new thing, it was nice for just reading drives for the small amount of work but nothing huge as it was USB 2, but back then 480 Mbps was good enough. This device bring m.2 with it and a few other options. You can connect multiple drives at one time, try not to overload the power, I did an m.2 and a SATA SSD.Speeds were mid 300Mbps, certainly USB 3 here!I did try a transfer from device to device and got similar speeds.Powered the SATA SSD by USB power.A few things to note:The m.2 is a bit deep at about 5mm from the case to the top of the connector. Add to that the insertion distance and it might be an issue if your drive has a heatsink or pad attached to it.It's got a few pieces and no case. You can use the box it came in but it won't last forever, just keep track of the parts or you'll go to use it and be upset because something you need is missing. It uses a less than widely used Type A to Type A cable. While this is going to be physically strong and stand up to abuse, if you lose this cable you'll need to order another. I did try a type C to type A, know it was the wrong "direction" and it did not work. I didn't expect it to. You can use the provided cable with a Type A to C adapter. The power switch is actually pretty handy too!
