I ordered this for the gloves mainly. The thermometer is ok but not great.But the gloves are great. I was a bit nervous about reading other reviews as I have small hands, but these fit me just fine.These are great for using on grill to take the rotisserie off of it, or pans on grill off as that is what I use them for.Just keep in mind that these are made out of material so if you get them wet, you will feel the heat of that wetness.We grill a lot, even in the winter months so these will come in very handy.

I occasionally pull out my rotisserie rod for the grill and it can get HOT. A pair of heat resistant gloves are a must for proper handling of the rod - especially that sometimes it likes to slip out of it's place of the motor head. These gloves were able to protect my hands from burning and I felt minimal heat when holding the searing hot rod. They were a good size for a comfortable fit too. The added thermometer was pretty handy and was accurate enough. No complaints.

I'm really hoping i got a dud because otherwise i have no clue what everyone is raving about. I've gotten burned taking things out of a 375 degree oven with these on. Certainly below the 1000+ degree threshold. I will say they fit well, have nice grip and FEEL well made... but yeah, heat resistant they are not. But the included thermometer is pretty awesome and works great. So that's something.

I got these for grilling when I do skewers and other metal parts that go in the grill. It protects my hands from the heat and getting burned. They also stretch to fit my hands, I usually wear a size L gloves and these fit me well and would also stretch to fit larger hands.

The gloves work well for me. I like these for grilling or even as oven mitts, but not great for say using with a set of tongs. The gloves are large, so they're good for flipping burgers, but not with tongs, which I use with chicken.I wanted to test the thermometer, so I put it in some chicken I was grilling. It took some time to get up to temp and my fingers were getting warm in the gloves, but that part was OK. What wasn't great was when I was done and realized that the thermometer had melted some while I was checking the temp of the chicken. I included a picture, where you can see the backside of the thermometer with melted plastic. Not great, although I'll continue to use the thermometer if it continues to work. But not great quality.

The gloves are very nice. I have somewhat similar, older glove — but they’re getting old. A backup is always a good idea.At first glance I thought they’d be way too big for my petite frame, but they mostly mold to your hands — except around the forearm for me. Not a dealbreaker, I just have to be sure not to get hot liquids down my arms!These are my favorite type of oven gloves, but if they get wet you’ll really feel anything hot you might be holding, due to the cloth. Silicone gloves can be more heat resistant but don’t hold things as well.One thing these gloves are missing is the little rings so you can hang them on a hook. I find that very useful.My husband was a fan of the instant read thermometer: he said it was very slow. Personally I ordered these for the gloves, so that wasn’t a big deal for me — but could be for you.

This set of heat resistant gloves along with the meat thermometer is perfect for those of us who love to cook out on the smoker or grill. We have just got a new smoker here and I knew I had to try this out because well I am accident prone and if I don't wear gloves I will always burn myself. Its a sign of a good cook though! I love that these prevent burns and allow me to get an accurate temperature with the digital thermometer. It means no salmonella from my BBQ! I love how accurate the reading was when we cooked out this past weekend. It was nice to be able to check it and not worry about it being undercooked.This set is very well made and durable. It should last me a long time if its as good as I think it is. It sure feels like professional stuff they used. Its heavy duty and up to keeping your hands protected while you cook. I highly recommend this for anyone who loves to BBQ. You will thank me later!

I got a couple of heat resistant gloves a few years ago mainly for grilling, handling the grills, moving them while hot and they did awesome.Accidentally one day i was baking something and i couldn't find my regular oven mitts but the gloves were in reach so i grabbed them, they did the job and once i found the mitt i kissed it goodbye.Fast forward to today, i ordered these as a general purpose pair of heat resistant gloves while baking or grilling, and they do great. These perform as good as my first paid which were more to the tune of $35, so at $19 for these that perform as well as those it is a great deal, and includes a Thermometer.They are pretty large so will accommodate large hands best than small hands, when i order gloves i pick Large size and they fit a little snug, but these ones, since they are meant as one-size-fits-all needed to be larger, and it's understandable.The Thermometer is a Bonus. It works and it's as accurate as my other Thermometer, just nothing too fancy, it doesn't fold, its not backlit, but hey, it'll cover the basic, i'd pay $19 for just the gloves and in case my other thermometer suffers an accident or gets misplaced, i got the spare one.Overall i'm super satisfied with these pair of gloves, and i'm happy about the bonus inclusion of something super useful as a cooking thermometer, Recommended!
