My new apartment is directly above a gamer who screams all night. I went months without any sleep and my poor pets were so stressed, so I finally bought two sets of these and asked my landlord to install them in the gamer’s bedroom below me. The end result is that I can still hear the gamer, but his screams are much more muffled and I’m getting a lot more sleep than before. That’s with just two sets. I highly recommend these and I imagine if I’d had a few more sets installed the end result would be even better. Also, when I unwrapped them there was no notable odor or off gassing.

I bought these in grey and orange to out in a rec. room. While they look cool on the wall I wouldn’t say they are very good at reducing noise. I’m sure it’s better than a completely empty wall though. The adhesive works, nothing has fallen off the wall. Hope it doesn’t work too well when it’s time to pull it off.

I did not want to risk messing up the paint on my wall, so I mounted the acoustic tiles to a sheet of half inch polyiso insulation board. The board has a plastic coating on one side which the panels stuck to very well. Once my pattern was laid out and adhered (which was much easier to do on the floor), I used an electric knife to trim around the perimeter and beveled it at a 45° angle so you can’t see the foam board, and gives a nice floating effect against the wall. I was able to mount the whole assembly to the wall with six heavy duty, 3M command strips. The whole thing is very lightweight at probably around 10 pounds (I used 2x 12 packs). As far as acoustic treatment, they seem to do the trick of removing some echo in the room, and looks cool.

I've found a new decorative feature with these awesome tiles that provide some much needed sound-dampening in our building. The walls are all cement board on steel frame so the building is practically a xyolophone. While these tiles won't do anything for the ghostly voices everyone hears in the ventilation system, it can at least mitigate the sounds coming down the hallways.

The nature of my work requires a significant amount of privacy. Unfortunately, the walls of my new office are paper thin. I purchased 2-packs of the Mollywell Hexagon Acoustic Panels to try to reduce the echo and create some privacy. I purchased blue and gray and set up a random pattern for appearances. First impression on appearance is that they look great. They really changed the dynamic of my office. They did reduce the echo but did little to nothing for soundproofing. (Not to say a wall full of them wouldn't work)However, the adhesive is so foul smelling, and it lingers for weeks if you can't air it out (I have to close and lock my office daily). Installation is relatively easy, peel and stick. It is difficult to peel the paper off, I took to slipping a razor blade just under the paper surface to get it started. Your hands will reek of the adhesive odor. The spacer they provide is nice, not ideal but it works. Get yourself a little 6" level, it is worth it. The biggest issue, however, at first one or two would fall off the wall. Eventually, like the day I am writing this for example, I walked in to 6 of them laying on the floor. Two observations about falling off the wall; 1. Only the blue ones are falling off the wall. The gray has stuck well. 2. The adhesive is not coming off the wall (future concern), the blue tiles are falling off of the adhesive.Aesthetically the product is very nice. Colors are vibrant, material is dense, and being able to create patterns makes it fun. The adhesive is abhorrent and the constant falling off the walls, while not a big deal at first, is becoming increasingly annoying.

Beware of adhesive. I was able to take it from the wall only with a piece of paint. Also, when you are taking it off, panels are going to be damaged, so, don't thinks about using it for the second time.

Got some of these to hang in the theatre room here. Super easy to put up and I’m a fan of the hex shape.

Some of the panels just fell off the wall. Not sure what the difference was, but the ones that stayed do look pretty good.

Great product, love them. But Amazon shipping in a bag causes dented corners on tiles and seeing as they need to fit together seemlessly that’s a problem. I don’t know if this is an Amazon thing or a Supplier thing? But a little common sense would go a long way here. Packages go through a rigamarol during transport, the protection of goods should be of paramount importance.
