About this item

  • 【Dual 5 Meter Floating Probe Design】- It can detect water shortage or overflow. You can choose to use one or both functions according to your needs. The overflow probe is placed above the water level. When the water level rises to the detection position, the float will rise and trigger the magnetic induction, thus triggering the alarm. Instead, the water shortage probe is always placed in the underwater position, which triggers an alarm when the water level drops below the float.
  • 【120 dB with Red Light Strobe Alarm - Volume Adjustable】- The volume of the water alarm can be adjusted according to the installation distance, and the alarm can also be used as a home safety alarm. You can DIY yourself, the alarm will be triggered when the two wires on the probe are shorted.
  • 【Extendable Detection Line】- The detection line of this water detector can be extended to 164ft to meet the needs of your family. Please use good quality copper core extension wire.
  • 【Low Power Design】- 9V replaceable battery power supply, standby for more than 1 year. When the battery power is low, the water sensor sound will become small or there is no alarm sound. Please replace the battery at this time.
  • 【Wide Range of Uses】- This dual probe water level detection alarm can be used in many scenes, such as solar water tank, fish tank, swimming pool, basement, warehouse, bathroom, kitchen, laundry, etc. In addition, this high decibel alarm can also be connected with other sensors to become a home safety alarm system

It works great once you know how to use it. For the two sensors that are attached, one is for the water level dropping too low, and the other is for the water level rising too high. You need to play with float on each sensor to determine which is which. I use the later. Either sensor will trigger the same alarm. For the sensor that determines the water level dropping too low, I wrapped a twist tie underneath the float to prevent it from dropping and triggering the alarm. For the sensor that triggers the alarm for high water levels, I let it dangle at the level at which I want the alarm to sound. The only other complaint is that if you decide to mount the alarm, which is exclusively using screws, when the battery needs changed, you need to dismount it by unscrewing all the screws. You then need to unscrew the back of the alarm to gain access to the battery compartment.Despite the unclear instructions and the inconvenient access to the battery compartment, I would buy it again because it successfully meets a critical need at a reasonable price.

I wanted a single (high water) alarm on my septic tank, and this one comes with two sensors--high and low. It's easy to defeat the 2nd alarm, just cut the wire. This device requires a 9V battery--it comes with a cheap dry cell, which I don't expect to last long. I recommend putting an alkaline in right away, because it's not easy to replace the battery once installed--you literally have to unscrew the alarm from the wall to replace the battery. Also there is no test feature to let you know if the battery is good or not when you turn the unit on (perhaps I could rig up the second input in this case, but that is extra work and should have been built in.) The alarm does have a bright flashing red LED and the volume can be turned up to ear piercing at close range so I'm hopeful it will work fine. It's also nice that this unit doesn't require line power, so it can go pretty well anywhere. The magnetic float switches seem to work ok when I tested them. (It's likely this unit would work with any closing-circuit type sensor, but I haven't tried yet.)

This thing works great for my well tank that supplies our house. I put the low sensor about 2 feet from the bottom and put the high sensor right at the top where the tank necks down. When i'm filling it and i hear the alarm go off we cut the well off, then drain a few gallons of water and the alarm shuts off. I'm glad because this allows us to save water and not overflow the tank. The alarm is extremely loud. It is high pitched so the sound doesn't travel super far, but we are about 50 yards from the alarm and can hear it go off, we leave the window cracked to make it easier to hear. At point blank this thing will make your ears ring.I do wish there was an indicator that whenever you first turn the alarm on it beeps one time to let you know the batteries are charged. I wonder about that battery dying one day and we don't realize it, we rely on this to tell us if our tank ever gets too empty. I'll probably end up replacing the battery once every 6 months just to be on the safe side. Well worth the $35.

I use it for my pressure washing business. The alarm lets me know when my tank is full, so I don't have to monitor it, and it also lets me know when I am getting low on water so I have time to rince off any soaps or chemicals. I have been using this alarm for a year now and it has healed up impressively well. Definitely a good deal.

Fitted in a sump around a swimming pool. Works perfectly to clear the ground water. Light and audible alarm warnings are great.

I ordered 2 of these recently for different tanks. One unit worked as expected for a potential high water incident with the flashing led lights and adjustable volume siren. The siren in the second one did not work although the flashing light did. I contacted the seller and they responded very quickly and sent me a replacement unit that works as expected. So very pleased with their customer service. The sensors and wires needed to go through a stud wall to get to the tanks so cutting the wires made it much easier and required a much smaller hole to be drilled through the studs. Reconnecting the wires is simple and polarity doesn’t seem to affect the alarm function. I like the fact that the siren volume is highly adjustable, the unit can be shut off to conserve battery life if you’re using it for a seasonal sump pump, and it’s relatively inexpensive. Can’t say what the life of the unit or the batteries are at this point. Overall good value and good service.

This water level alarm functions according to how the manufacturer said it will. When using as a low level indicator the hallow cylindrical float moves upwards as the float assembly is placed in to the water. As the water in tank or container drops below the level of the float, the float drops and triggers the alarm. The installation instructions are very clear. There are small marks on the top of the cylindrical float. For low level indication the marks on the float face upwards, for high level indication the marks face downwards. This is a good product for the price.

The idea was to set it to go off if someone or something got into the pool, it's a little hard to get it to set just right. The noise is certainly loud and very annoying.

Looking for an alarm to notify if the basement sump pump tank was going to overflow. I'll make this work, but would not recommend it to anyone else. The wires are soldered into the internal circuitry and so the nuts to clamp the float switches to something are useless plus they're installed upside-down???To replace the 9volt battery you will need to remove the cover from the backing. This requires you to dismount the detector from the wall and then remove 2 screws from the back of the unit before you can get to the battery. Who designed this thing.Only positives are it was cheap and the alarm volume can be controlled and made quite loud.
