Honestly can't recommend that anyone buy this or not because it really didn't make a difference for me. I secured it properly, but the pain radiates through it. I was hoping this could provide some type of relief, but I will continue my search.

Takes pressure off my spine and hip to help relax my hamstring. Love large size.

This was used for hip pain. It is better than an ace bandage, easy to apply but not very helpful for outside thigh hip discomfort. It may help for the front of the hip. Seems as if it would be very good for hamstrings. It does take one's mind off aches etc. Fair use for a tough place to take care of. I'm pretty short so this didn't fit as well as most universal braces do.

I really wanted to give this thing a solid rating when I received it; the size is really impressive. It's so VERY rare that I find a brace that can actually accomodate a plus size body, or you know, even just plus size body *parts*. Even the ones that are specifically made to be plus size and are marketed that way! They're just never big enough and something always feels wrong. This one isn't even described as XXL or anything, it's just THAT customizeable! I am so impressed with that. Even the thigh part fits me and while the waist strap is longer than I need (still fits just fine though, no complaints there), I have verrrrryyyy thick thighs and this doesn't feel too tight on me. Almost, but not quite. It can be a little difficult to get that part wrapped around my leg though, unfortunately. I have a short reach and have to twist in uncomfortable ways to get the velcro attatched. My biggest complaint however is that as I'm wearing the brace, it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep the layers of the thigh part actually sitting flat against your body. I don't know why it's a problem so consistently, but it really is. If you're even moderately active while wearing it, you have to stop to readjust and yank the material around every few minutes. It's so frustrating. That alone made me want to knock this product down to 3 stars, but it gets one more because it DOES work. I have neuropathy in my knee stemming from my hip, and when I'm wearing this I can feel the warmth and tingling (the tingling is good in my case) in that knee in an undeniable way! So. Is this thing super annoying to keep on? Yes, yes it is. But it's *worth it*.

I had a brace similar to this one for my right SI joint. When the left side slipped out, I got one of these. It is a single piece of neoprene that fits a bit like an "old west" style gun holster. There is a waist belt with a velcro tab on one end to attach, and then two smaller straps that wrap around the leg.It may be a little tricky to attach depending on what kind of clothing you're wearing under it. Make sure the velcro doesn't accidentally attach to your shirt or pants as it could really wreak havoc on polyester-type materials. The SI brace I already had is a little heavier neoprene and has three leg straps instead of the two that this one has, but overall I'm satisfied with this brace.

Now I may change my mind about this after a few more days of wearing this Brace, but my impression right now, after a few hours of wearing it, is that it isn't doing terribly much for supporting or holding in position my irritated hip joint. I've had an injury or an inflammation in my left hip bothering me for over a month now, I'd try almost anything to fix it at this point. I'm not certain what the problem is but the joint- it hurts, throbs, when lying in bed, aches when going up stairs, aches when walking, deeply hurts after a few minutes of standing up straight. I was hoping this left hip Brace would splint it in some way, and prevent that throbbing pain finally, and assist it in healing..... It seems to be good mainly at squeezing your upper thigh tightly and your mid to lower waist tightly, but not much with the hip in between.... Perhaps I will find this thigh squeezing actually DOES help the problem after wearing this a few days, if so- I will raise this product's stars to 5, since I have been suffering so long with no end in sight! But as it is right now- I don't think that will be the case. Also, I want to wear this to bed, but it comes with such a strong rubber and chemical smell to it , I don't think I will be able to fall asleep. My guess is that it will air out after several days, but it always makes me heaitate reconsider wearing a product when the chemical smell is so overwhelming at the start, like this one is.... ( If this brace works unexpected miracles with my agonized hip, I will raise this rating for certain, but for now- 3 stars it is. (If it does absolutely nothing, after a few more days of this, i will drop it lower. ) Update: it just doesn't seem to help much, I dropped it a star accordingly. One positive thing though is the strong rubber smell almost disappeared after airing out a few days.

After compression casts around my feet and calves from severe ulcerated lymphedema it was recommended for aftercare that I have something on my upper legs. Ideally I'd put something on both thighs, but I'm alternating left and right with a pair of these wraps. My nurses approved of this approach.I wore this for twenty four hours, even while still wearing casts. I never had the wrap fall down or ride up, and was able to tighten it while wearing it. The velcro grip never came loose despite how wide my thioghs are. I even slept with it.As after care, this should work great as complimentary to compression hose when I need upper leg compression.Long term I wonder about the velcro losing strength but the type on this wrap seems very tight and grippy. That bodes well for long term durability.
