I recently started dabbling in the PDR (paintless dent repair) world and a detection board is a must have. This really helps you see areas you've missed or that need to be worked and re-worked. It works perfectly doing just that. You can see the ripple of the lines as they get wavy near a dent. Watch online videos of PDR if you're not sure what I mean. This screen was a great value and will pay for itself many times over. I also like that it's foldable and comes with its own carrying case.

The line board is a good size, and the integrated handle makes it easy to control. The translucent quality is good and allows enough light to see the work clearly. Folding and storing is easy and quick.

Although this gets the job done, there were a few complaints with the one we bought:1) it came to us looking used as it had signs of wear and tear.2). The stripes are somewhat faded and aren't as bright as I'd like them to be.3). The handle plastic was cheap, it fell once and cracked, now it spins and makes the job awkward.Again, it gets the job done, but I'll probably have to buy another one and trash this one. It lasted 2 uses within 1 months.

This is a nice pack of two line boards. It’s a very economical option compared to a powered light. These obviously require good lighting, either sunlight or shop lights, but these will reflect lines as needed. You obviously have to hold the board whereas pros using lighted line boards are usually on a stand that keep their position. Good alternative for a DIY guy playing with PDR.

These are great for checking out your PDR work. They work best outside since there's no lighting to it, but it's the best non electrical reflector that you're gonna get.
