If you have large, coffee table books you’d like to display, or are using a large book and want to hold it in place, you probably need this book stand. The design is really clever and requires no construction with screws or Allen keys. It is two pieces of solid timber with slanted grooves which slot together. This means it’s also easily disassembled if you need to store it away. The two pieces of wood have a natural stain which showcases the woodgrain. The stand is big enough for even very large or heavy books.Really nice addition to your library or table display.

Good looking coffee table display stand. The wood is beautiful, carefully crafted into a furniture grade book display stand. No warpage, no splinters, and no cracks visible. So if you want to dress up your coffee table, go for it. But I was hoping for a book stand that would double as a high class book reader as the listing suggests However the design is not suitable for reading in my view, at least not nearly as good as my other reading stands. The stand is too narrow to work well with an open book of any size so the pages are arched as the sides hang over the stand (see pix), and the angle is to extreme causing the book too flat and not at a good angle for reading; and as such I rate it only 4*.

This is such a simple design and looks good.I find some of my cookbooks are too thick to sit properly on my upright book stand. This stand solves that problem as the book lies (almost) flat.It comes as two panels which you just have to slot together and is well packed to protect it while in transit.I am partial to timber so like the look of this one when it is on my kitchen bench. It is a bit overpriced for what it is but it is good quality and will last a long time.

Bookstands are so chic and a lovely way to display coffee table books, a family heirloom book, favorite magazines, etc. But I had a not so positive experience with another bookstand by a different company. So, after being disappointed with that other bookstand, I was happy to find this excellent one by Honygebia.Everything about this bookstand says perfection. From its impressive solid wood material to its strength and ability to easily hold coffee table and art books and heavier books.Materials:I did research on different types of wood to ensure that I would not have the same problem that I had with my previous bookstand. That is when I discovered that the manufacturer’s decision to use Sapele wood means that the bookstand is more affordably priced as opposed if it were made of a different wood. In addition, Sapele wood is durable and resistant to rot.Durability:The bookstand is very strong and easily held my heavy vintage family dictionary with no problem. (It states in the advertisement that it can hold up to 36 lbs. The most I have tried is 20 lbs.)Size:Its size, in both width and length, means that it can easily accommodate displaying an art or coffee table book.Packaging:It is shipped in a nice environmentally friendly box and each of the two wood pieces that make up the bookstand are protected individually.Assembly:The bookstand can be assembled and disassembled in a matter of seconds.Overall, this is a wonderful bookstand. I have learned that not all bookstands are created equally. But this one is soundly made and looks stunning.

I received this product after some time of waiting and it came in a plain box with not much protecting it once I assembled it it was what it is. I do have some complaints about it I don't think that the product was thought out very well I just think that they cut some wood put it together and said hi you can hold a book on this look we can sell it to some people and make some money but other than that I don't think they put much thought into it the Grain on the wood does not line up once you assemble it it's kind of a weird pattern after assembled and you can't adjust it any other way it is what it is and I know a book will be sitting on it but you know people are going to be looking at it and seeing it on your table because it's a display piece more than anything is it the book on display or is it the stand on display well in my opinion it's both both are on display and if you need something to hold the book for you so you can read on the table well this will do as a tool but as a product that's going to be sitting on somebody's table on display for people to look at I think they could have put a little more thought into how it was being made. The fit and finish on it is pretty good I mean there's no loose pieces of wood or rough sharp edges or anything like that the stain is all even colored all the way across it's just the wood grain is not going in the same direction and one piece the wood grain is different than the other and you can plainly see it it doesn't look like it was professionally done but aside from that it does what it does I guess what I recommend it at this price point no I think that you should keep it moving and get something that's better made if you're going to put something on display. If they're going to send somebody something to review even if it is free you should send your best product not your worst especially if you're expecting a good review I'm not in this for the freebies I like giving good reviews but when you give me a crap product I can't do that.

This sapele wood (in the mahogany family) book stand is beautiful and elegant yet strong. I adore the simplicity of this stand — the wood grain is so beautiful that adding anything else would be too much, imho. It took seconds to assemble, too. I’ve placed several texts of varying weights on the stand and it holds up wonderfully. I’m very pleased, overall, and I can confidently recommend this book stand.

This is a nice heavy book stand, and if your cookbook (or any other book) has a well used spine and holds itself open, you'll need a rubber band or some other way to hold the book open. Not really useful for brand new books though. Great for my mom's 1950s edition of Betty Crocker's Cookbook, but not so much for my fresh copy of Tasting History with Max Miller. And that's why I gave it 4 stars. To be fully useful it needs to have some way of holding the book open, regardless of how old or well used it is.Other than that, it's really nice to look at, and is large enough to hold most books, and is solidly built. You do have to slide the two sides together to make the hinge, but once that's done it's done. On that note it folds easily for storage if you're not going to keep a book on display. Despite my four star rating, I can recommend this if you've got a treasured, often read book you want to display.

This little book stand is a great value for the money. It was very easy to assemble and seems to be quite sturdy. It holds a large book (dictionary sized) quite well. Easy to disassemble for storage as well!
