No problems at all getting this paired and working, lots of different alarm sounds to chose, Has good range even through trees and scrub. Well built, very good directions sheet, easy to set up.

Going on six years since I screwed this unit to a tree down the hill & across my driveway. Plugged the bell alert unit right into an outlet in the house and it works perfectly. Extremely low tech and amazing that it works so far from the house. I also take the ringer plug in and out when I have guests so it doesn’t affect them if it goes off in the night. Yes it does go off occasionally by a deer or a small animal. But not as much as one would think. I have it aimed a bit high so that it catches vehicle height, and not things on the ground. It has lasted through several storms and winters and is still going strong!

I have purchased several driveway alarms, they are well constructed and do the job easily at keeping you informed when a person or vehicle drives by.Unfortunately one of my units failed after a couple month, past the return policy, i inspected the driveway unit and found that it was full of rain water. so some units are not as weather proof as they could be.Maybe run a bead of silicone around the edge of the solar panel would fix it as i am sure that is where the water entered the unit, All the same they are a great device for any drive way, lets me know when the Kangaroo's are walking by :)

Update: I contacted the company and they sent me a new sensor at no cost. That is some great customer service. Let's see if this one will last longer than 15 months. This was a great product when I got it. I placed it at the end of my driveway to let me know when someone was coming. The distance is about 100 yards. About 15 months later it started randomly going off and wouldn't go off when a car came into my driveway. I suspect it is the sensor going bad. I even re-paired the sensor and chime and put them side by side in my house. Chime kept going off randomly, but sensor would not work when I walked in front of it. When I shaked the sensor I could hear water in it. I suspect that is the problem.

These warning alarms work so well for the price of $65au…this a new one we have put in as the solar panel dies after a few years..The harsh Australian sun kills everything after a few years .These are a super product at a good price.

Good unit for the price. Set up is easy, just make sure you do a couple test runs to aim the transmitter properly. I set up the transmitter at the entrance of my driveway and placed three receivers on the property. Two receivers in the house (one upstairs and one down) which are about 150 feet from the transmitter and one in the shop about 400 feet away.

Summary: Worked well with some issues, lasted 3 years. No idea what happened, but I had been leaving review updates, and they are all gone now. I bought this in March 2019, but the lawn mower broke it, so in June of 2019 I bought it again. It stopped working, and in March 2022 the manufacturer sent another receiver (which was very kind), that worked for a while, but has stopped again. The solar panel is very white. Occasionally it works, but in the past two months it's missed more and more cars and now it barely ever goes off. When I first installed this Htzsafe, I needed to turn up the sensor range, and it was very finicky, but I got it to work, but didn't feel like messing with that again. So I looked on amazon for a well-reviewed (I sorted by reviews) and this driveway alarm is very well-reviewed, but I found another brand that has similar good reviews, but has a toggle switch for the range. We'll see how well it works and how long it lasts. Hopefully, Amazon does not erase my updates on that one. The brand I switched to is: eMACROS Long Range Solar 1/2 mileThe only thing I know so far is that the range is longer (I moved it up the driveway to where this one did not work, so I guess the 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile designations are not totally made up) and it's worked for about 2 hours and 6 passing cars (in and out) without any false alarms. The sensor design was a little different, and the Htzsafe worked so well that I was worried a different sensor design would have issues. But so far they are working the same, just longer range. Oh, Htzsafe does have many more chime options. The eMACROS appears to have chimes dedicated to each channel, and no way to change them, (there are 4 channels) so you have 4 chime options as a result. But maybe I'm missing the setting.

I have an acreage in Canada and a winding driveway with lots of trees between my house and the driveway entrance. I didn't like people being able to drive right up to my house and knock on the door before I even knew anyone was in my property. This was the solution, and it works well. I fastened it to a fence post about 900 feet from my house, and it seems to work well so far. Granted, its only been in use for a couple days, but I am so happy that from my office now, I hear the ring, go to my window, and 5 seconds later see a vehicle coming around the corner. I was curious because it says it works on motion and heat, and it gets pretty old here in the winter months. So far in December its hovering around -10c and it still has picked up every vehicle night and day coming (We have lots of trades people working on our house currently) I guess when its really cold, and vehicles pull in that haven't warmed up too much prior will be the real test, but thus far, this is one of my favorite purchases. It has 35 different ring options, I assume because you can connect multiple sensors and have a different ring for each so you know which way to look, but only the standard doorbell chime isn't awful. the rest are little musical numbers that would drive you crazy after the first day.. If their was one thing I would change about it, it would be to have more normal rings like a cell phone, an a smaller less "made overseas" home base. The current one isn't overly large, but is pretty ugly, so its plugged in in a side room so I don't need to see it.

This HTZSAFE solar alarm sensor in our driveway worked fine for the past two weeks but yesterday it missed a few vehicles that passed in front of it but detected others. It's been 100 degrees here in Texas and sunny every day. The alarm is attached to a wood post 30 inches off the ground and is aimed across the width of our driveway, a distance of about 20 feet from the post to the farthest side of the driveway.Today the alarm did not sound at all on 4 tests. I disconnected the receiver from the power and plugged it back in, and it blinked blue several times, but I realized the receiver worked fine - its the sensor.Sensor works ok inside the house but when I take it back out to the outdoor mount, it only works if I'm within a few feet - more than six feet away it does not work. I set the sensor sensitivity to low (3 button pushes), medium (4 button pushes) and high (5 button pushes) to no avail. I have pointed the sensor in several different angles. It worked and now it doesn't and I no longer have the patience to try and figure out why. I had a previous plastic alarm sensor that worked on batteries - it worked perfectly for 20(!) years until the weather took its toll. Unfortunately I haven't found a reasonable replacement for it.I wrote to the vendor who took 2 days to answer an earlier question about the missing USB adapter and/or cord mentioned in the manual. He did send me a completely different alarm receiver that had a USB adapter and told me to use that adapter for the sensor (?). I only waited 24 hours for a reply this time before deciding to simply return everything.I have had this unit for just short of 30 days, so after navigating a few Amazon screens of "Why don't you talk to an Amazon helper?" (Like they know anything about this unit) and "Why don't you take this to a UPS drop off instead of making us pick it up?" I finally got a confirmation that I could return it and UPS would bring the label and pick it up.

This is simply a SUPER GREAT driveway alarm, simple to setup and install, and has a full 2 year warranty. The 4 mounting screws that are included are very poor quality though, but they are easy to replace locally (recommended) before trying to install, with USA made ones which will make installation much easier. We have a very long driveway and the wood fence post we mounted the sending unit on was 40 feet away from the driveway; works beautifully! The alarm receiver in the house is a long distance away from the sending unit and still receives the signal easily. Being able to set the receiver for loudness is nice too. The price for an alarm of this quality is not bad, and for a few dollars more you can add an extended 4 year warranty which makes it a real bargain. The sending unit is small so is not all that noticeable. We just feel that this driveway alarm is currently the best one available. Not needing any batteries like most others must have is really appreciated, and money and time saving too.
