The fit and finish are superb.This looks very pro, very precision.It functions very well and is one of the few monopods you can get that go high - something you need surprisingly often in landscape and wildlife.I dinged it a star because in spite of the lightweight materials the two quick release joints add a lot of weight. If you leave the foot on you feel like you're walking with a mace or other medieval weapon.Ah! but that foot. Man is it handy - don't think about leaving it at home as it doubles the versatility of this monopod. You can connect the top to the foot to make a very nice shorty for those inevitable low-down or macro shots.To the makers - guys! Figure a way to cut some weight!
