I am looking for another instant read thermometer to replace my Big Green Egg Instant Read Thermometer because for the the price I paid, It really should be much quicker than it is. It is a nice thermometer and is easy to read. But compared to other thermometers that I've read about it is at least a couple of seconds slower. I was experimenting with it today and I estimate that a typical read time is about 5 seconds. This is a couple seconds slower than others that I have been reading about. Again, it is a nice thermometer, but for the price it reads considerably slower than other instant read thermometers that are just as accurate and about $60-70 cheaper.

This is THE BEST $10 thermometer you can buy for $100.It immediately improved my BBQ skills and actually makes the meat juicer by sticking the probe in the right spot.This is a must have.I read Jeff B has 8 of them at one of his vacation homes.
